I've always assumed that it was a given, but something has struck me: FE members might not agree with me on some very important points.
I know. Weird, huh.
You can explain this away any way you want. Objectively, subjectively - I don't give a fuck.
But this is a very important question that needs to be answered.

I think Lateralus is Tool's best album, but I also have horrible taste in music...

I honestly don't think I could pick a favorite out of the two, and if I did, I'd most likely change my mind a week later.

I have to say Lateralus.... But it's nearly impossible. It's just that lateralus is nearly flawless front to back, it has a certain 'flow' about it.

definitely lateralus. it was the first album i ever got by tool back in '05, and now the only one i ever listen to. its like an orgy in my ears.

Undertow has the most "songs". Lateralus is the most consistent conceptually, and epic. Aenima is the most humorous. Opiate grows on you. 10k days is good and Wings 1&2 is amazing, but the album lacks luster and seems gimmicky.
