This would have been more accurate were it to ask "Which instruments can you play and own/have owned?"

I guarantee the same people who chose guitar chose bass as well. That doesn't mean that they PLAY bass and own one. It just means that they CAN.

Anyone who can play a guitar can play bass. The problem with the poll is what is the definition if "playing". Does playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star count?

That's my point. Having owned several guitars and a bass for many years, I can comfortably say that I legitimately play both.

Can't say that about singing, though.

And if you really want to stretch it, anyone who can play one instrument VERY WELL is likely to be able to play any other related instrument at a beginner level. I'm sure all guitarists here can fake it on keyboard and violin, for example. Perhaps even drum, if they have a natural sense of co-ordination, as the rhythm should already be implied.

I'm lost on any "breathing" instruments. That's why I want to learn the flute. That'll have to wait, 'til next year, though, it looks like.

actually i played violin in middle school. its different than guitar. the strings arent EADG(BA) like a guitar or bass but instead is GDAE (the strings are fifths apart instead of only fourths).. but i admit, most guitarists can probably easily pick up the bass and keyboard. and possibly even the drums.. that being said, ive played guitar/bass/keyboard since i was 7, violin at 11-12 (i quit after middle school but its like riding a bike), drums at age 13, and voice at 14..
