Because Fairies Wear Boots and War Pigs are still their best songs.

I'm kinda "eh" on Sabbath overall but Paranoid is their best.

Yeah I'm a bit like that really. For their day they were a standout but I don't find so much in their music these days to make many return listens. I saw them perform last year and as pleased as I was to tick that box, and granted they are a pretty old bunch of guys now, I was stuck by a huge sameness in their material that even wonderful production values couldn't obscure.

Black Sabbath forged the sound that made everything possible. Vol. 4 is their most accomplished work.

I'm going to have to give later sabbath a try again. I used to listen to mob rules all the time. Sign of the Southern Cross is pretty epic.
