^That's siiiiick. I never really gave Claypool's side projects a chance because they seemed like weird spin offs that more or less sound like Primus. I might have to reconsider.

There are a couple like that, but Oysterhead and the Claypool Lennon Delirium are well worth checking out in their own right.

Claypool Lennon Delirium are scheudled to perform Blood & Rockets on Cobert tonight, Monday 18 Feb 2019

Jon Pareles, NY Times - The Playlist - 02/15/19
Les Claypool, from Primus, and Sean Lennon reclaim Beatles (and Monty Python) psychedelia to set out the biography of Jack Parsons, a rocket-science luminary (at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory) who was also a devotee of Aleister Crowley’s Ordo Templi Orientis and its “sex magick” rituals. “Better be careful boys,” Lennon sings. “You just might set the world on fire.” The keyboard tones echo “Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds,” while the extended vocal-harmony coda (singing Crowley’s precepts “Do what thou wilt” and “Love is the law”) hints at “I Want You (She’s So Heavy).” And the video, paying homage to Terry Gilliam’s animations, makes clear just how phallic rockets are.

Wow. I know Les is a huge Rush fan, but it’s still surprising they are delivering the whole AFTK album. No easy feat.

Bummer I’ll be traveling. Will no doubt be a killer show.

Not so sure about that - I reckon the last Scars on Broadway album was decent, and a mile better than anything Wolfmother have done.

Still, this sounds like an interesting tour - I reckon Primus playing Rush would be a fun time.

Lead Vocalist: Daron Malakian

You're just wrong dude.

Oh Jesus I knew that band name sounded familiar. Daron Malakian taking lead vocals... no ... just no.

You guys think Wolfmother is better? Ok, I won't argue, but in no way do I agree. I'm not asserting that either band is amazing.

Can't say either of em float my boat but I can't stand Malakian so if had to choose between the two.. id take wolfmother.

thats pretty cool. i might check that out. theres going to be a ''night for neil'' were i live. St.Catharines is were Neil Peart grew up. the song 'lakeside park' is in port dalhousie not far from me. a statue is being quoted to be put in lakeside park and once word comes in about that crowd funding will most likely begin.

anyway, no word yet on whos going to be playing at this thing but i might go to this instead being its in my own city. its May 16th. they are app contacting some bigger names. who knows but this might be kinda unique and cool or not! ha

I had a buddy tell me he saw Battles live. He said they were awesome, but very technical and very out there. Sounds great!

I feel like I haven't ever really given Primus a fair shot in terms of listening. Like I know their hits, but I haven't listened to their discography. Like there is so much good stuff that they've done, mad at myself that I haven't done this before.

Well, this is the perfect time to remedy that, huh?

What’s your favorite Primus album so far? Sailing is still top of the list for me, but every album has killer tracks. Seeing them live will take it to a new level.

Don’t be mad, just enjoy the opportunity 👍

Sailing the Seas of Cheese is probably my favorite, and I really like Sgt. Baker and American Life on that album. Fizzle Fry and Pork Soda are also really good. In all honesty, I haven't listened to a song I didn't enjoy yet.
