^ Oh dis gunna be sooo gooood

See that is how a professional group of musicians gets it done

1. State intention of writing a new album
2. Begin writing a new album
3. Update fanbase as to progress
4. Complete the album/announce going into the studio (nice touches thrown in with the little snippets from the studio)
5. Set release date

Oh and not to forget, it will only be 4 years between albums. Consistent, reliable, professional. Albums of the highest quality. That is how you do it. Meshuggah FTW

To be fair to Tool though, all Meshuggah have to do is bang their fists on a bass guitar for 50 minutes while some guy yells about quantum mechanics and hey presto.....an album.

Haven't got a vinyl player but based on the artwork / packaging alone I would purchase this!

Tempted with UK show...never seen them live

Fantastic live band - I very much doubt you'd regret going!

Seeing as this is in October I suspect they will be finished writing the new album by then and will likely play material from it during the tour. Certainly not in any way comparable to the way Tool have conducted themselves over the last 5/6 years.

Of course you were being factitious and I applaud the effort. It did make me chuckle.

Looks like a great tour. I haven't seen High on Fire live so I am tempted to go, but seeing as Meshuggah will likely only play a couple of tracks off their upcoming album, I will probably wait until they come around again next year.

Swedish experimental extreme metallers MESHUGGAH have set "The Violent Sleep Of Reason" as the title of their new album, due on October 7 via Nuclear Blast.

The CD's title and artwork were revealed in the new issue of Revolver magazine, which features a full-page ad for the effort.

To each their own but I mean... this is Meshuggah haha. It seems directly in keeping with previous song titles, album titles, etc.
