Tastes change, people grow older. I still love NIRVANA. Do I have that burning love for the "idea" of them any more? No, not really. Have I discovered new things; have my tastes changed in accordance with what I've discovered? Very much.

Eastern mysticism influenced (in a, by no means, masturbatory fashion) doom, riff-worshipping, clever, yet completely absolved from the very concept of self-indulgent intellect, band that the lead singer gleefully acts like a normal person on Facebook with all of his fans.

Yeah, give me more of that.

If my oh-so beloved MELVINS were a little more earnest, they wouldn't have been toppled. But I've finally realised tonight: YOB is it.

Ever since the first time I heard the band, I've been slayed. Such meditation - such soul and spirit.

Beautiful.

Join me, my friends. Revel in the riff . . .

I worship at the ground of Adrift In The Ocean. Still have a hard time fully getting into the rest.

They're also partially responsible for one of the greatest extended performances of Lateralus I've ever witnessed.

Fucking bitchin'!

Strangely: Both of those songs I posted were the first tracks of their albums. Hmmm.

Scott Kelly saw it fit to give them the time - you should, too . . .

Still, ah . . . still hasn't been pinned. I mean, I've noticed that this hasn't been a pinned topic. In the forum. Weird.

Hellboi and Kitty must be sleepin'. All good.

I'll wait.

I've listened to all the songs from those two albums, just none of them have grabbed me the way Adrift In The Ocean does. I keep trying though.

Except for the bold joey, I hate you all.

Just joking, I love you people. Not TOOL fans - but people.

Rock on, riff out.

If you're gonna have a YOB thread...You must mention the need for everyone to listen to their album Catharsis.

In particular the song "Ether"

Holy shit...

That is all

good song, it didn't really go anywhere though. would've been nice to hear a change at the end. I don't like the effects on his voice, I think live they remove a lot of that. I could be wrong though.
