DYING FETUS
with PUTRID PILE

“SUPREME SLAUGHTERHOUSE” AUSTRALIAN TOUR APRIL 2013

Formed in 1991, during the height of the death metal explosion, DYING FETUS have moulded into one of the premiere extreme death metal/grindcore acts to emerge from the massive global metal underground. Combining an innovative mix of technical virtuosity and catchy song structures to create the ultimate blend of death metal, hardcore and grind, their latest album ‘REIGN SUPREME’ sees DYING FETUS continue to smash out their meaty slamming goodness and take them to new sonic levels. DYING FETUS are hungry for complete aural devastation and this, on their first headlining tour, aim for a senseless battering of slam, groove and grunt.

Joining DYING FETUS is the intense, sick and twisted guttural death metal machine that is PUTRID PILE, on their first mission to this country! This one man band plans to quench your thirst for brutality with nonstop aggressive face-pounding grind and ultra slam hooks. There's a little something for everyone there whether you are a fan of old or new school death metal.

DYING FETUS and PUTRID PILE with guests performing at:
April 19th – The Factory Theatre, Sydney
April 20th - The Evelyn, Melbourne
April 21st - Beetle Bar, Brisbane
April 23rd - Amplifier Bar, Perth

The Faceless and Royal Thunder are the support acts for this tour.  Royal Thunder made my best albums of 2012 list, and The Faceless were in the runners up list, so they're some pretty quality supports in my opinion.

You should!  They played Halloween in Atlanta and we had a great time.  I was on the shrooms but CJ was not and he still enjoyed the hell out of the visuals!  Here is a link that better explains what the show is like.

Tonight we decided last minute to check out Fiend Without a Face.   This band is Brent Hinds and Brann Dailors (Mastodon) side project.  It was a lot of fun!  I'll post pics tomorrow.  Right now, it is way past my bedtime on a school night.  Maybe I should move this to the Mastodon thread.

AJ from Soundwave tweeted today that he expects Rammstein will be doing a headline tour in Australia this year.

Not expecting an Adelaide show, but that'd be great if there was...

Update: Also tweeted that Gojira will be touring, which is equally good news.

16th July in Adelaide.  I think there were two Melbourne shows either side of that date, and at the Hi Fi Bar and the other somewhere else (maybe the Corner Hotel)

THY ART IS MURDER AND CATTLE DECAPITATION AUSTRALIAN TOUR ANNOUNCED!

Hot on the heels of their nomination in the Best New Band category at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards in the UK, Western Sydney’s Thy Art Is Murder are proud to bring the hate home for their much anticipated headline tour in support of last year’s boundary smashing full length, Hate.

Since the October release of Hate through Halfcut and its top 40 ARIA chart debut, Thy Art Is Murder have gone from strength to strength; signing to worldwide metal juggernaut Nuclear Blast to spread Hate worldwide and completing headline runs of Europe, the UK and New Zealand. This June, Thy Art will be joined by San Diego’s Cattle Decapitation and Aussies King Parrot and Aversions Crown for nine dates across the country.

Cattle Decapitation has earned a reputation for being one of the most controversial extreme metal acts of recent years, and this is a reputation the San Diegan’s live up to. Their boundary-pushing music is designed to turn heads and snap necks, and nowhere is this more evident than on their seventh album Monolith Of Inhumanity or in the bizarre and twisted video for their track ‘Forced Gender Reassignment’. Now, fans can see Cattle Decapitation when they hit Australia for the first time.

King Parrot is the name on the tip of everyone’s tongue in the Australian metal scene with their debut album Bite Your Head Off kicking some serious arse. The record captures the raw intensity of their live show; defying genres with a cross-section assault on thrash, grind, punk and hardcore. This tour will be the opportunity to see King Parrot in their natural environment – delivering a brutal yet entertaining live set.

Brisbane six-piece Aversions Crown have solidified their position as one of Australia’s most reputable up-and-coming heavy bands. Following the release of their debut Servitude in 2011, the band have worked tirelessly, building a solid fan base nationally, culminating in the release of a full-length slated for later in 2013.
