Doom Metal of the finest order good sir. This particular band is from Northern England, Liverpool to be exact. They crush and smash and destroy with Riffs so heavy your mind will explode and your penis will enlarge. His hesitance to bring ELECTRIC WIZARD or an of the awesome female fronted doom bands is . . . unfortunate.

Rare I find a female singer in rock that does anything for me. Voices are simply too weak. Works well in a band like Massive Attack. Many love Kylesa for example but I cannot stand that chicks voice. And when chicks scream they generally sound like shit.

As for Electric Wizard I fucking love em. Brilliant.

I can't do KYLESA, man. That shit is fucking awful. The closest I come is POE, JUSCIFER, or EMILIE AUTUMN.

Yeah.

Just saw Jucifer live the other night, by the way. It was impressive in terms of tone and raw, visceral riffage. But ultimately, I get bored with that very generic kind of sludge-wank (sorry to be so derogatory, they were really sweet people and a truly fun live show). There were like 2-3 riffs, including the long opening one, that hooked me so deeply that it became disappointing when the rest was just seemingly random howling, etc.
