On a scale of one to ten, I'd give it a no.

Your scale doesn't really correspond with anyone's reality though

I'm well aware that people don't like it on the internet. There's not as many "no" ratings as you think I suspect.

I was listening to this song yesterday, so

One scene aside
Riding horses on a top of a spaceship in outer space looks like shit. Horseshit :D

Anyway, I don't care about disney movies.

- Yes. The louder the better. Stops me from thinking.
- You don't like to think? What do you like?
- Never thought about it.

As ridiculous as it sounds, its uh star wars. Re watch the originals and tell me how many times ya count that people should have died because they were in space without wearing a space suit.

I mean the death star is essentially a spaceship. They have gunners sitting on top of them don't they?

I think some are convinced Star Wars is hard sci-fi, when it's clearly not.

I think we're all aligned on the shitty horse riding bit though, but even the good SW movies are peppered with shitty scenes, so I'm not prepared to write off this one just yet.

Some are quicker to judge though, personally I'll wait until the movie comes out, rather than going purely off the trailer.

Space Opera. Nothing more, nothing less. The only other movie that is amidst Star Wars greatness in this genre is the massively underrated Jupiter Ascending.

the good ones peppered with crappy scenes ? whaat! most of the OT is pretty good. what is it you dont like HB ? When Han says ''i know'' when Leia tells him she loves him. haha. she gives it back to him in ROTJ which made that whole thing cooler really. anyway

Jupiter Ascending ? never heard of it or barely..i'll have to check it out..

Sci Fi...space opera whatever u want to call it. (space opera sounds really gay lol) most people will still say SW is Sci Fi. doesnt make much diff to me. its just SW.

People's love of star wars seems to make them oblivious to the fact that yes, even the original trilogy is actually pretty damn ridiculous. I adore star wars but completely understand when people say they don't like it.

I think for people our age, if you didn't grow up watching it as a kid , it would seem pretty downright silly if you were trying to get into it as an adult.

I think you're on to something here Busty. Star Wars is obviously best appreciated by a more mature audience. That said I much prefer Star Trek.

Most of those who judge the new SW movies harshly are those that enjoyed it in their youth, but now expect something a bit more mature.

Disney is in my opinion, far more interested in capturing a new gen of fans, rather than pleasing (now) old farts addicted to complaining on the internet.

Truth.

Plus I have a feeling no storyline would ever succeed in pleasing those rusty old fans.

Wachovski brothers sisters movie, don't waste your time, it's a crap.

As for the Star Wars - I grew up watching the original Lucas trilogy in the 80's, when I was a kid, Empire Strikes Back is my fav one.
