Well, I have no intention of leaving the mortal plane anytime before the election (pending James Bond announcement)

Ben Affleck did a commentary track for the Criterion Collection version of Armageddon and it's hilarious.

Reviews for the new Ghostbusters are trickling out slowly:

No prizes for guessing what the general consensus is.

Speaking of shitty films, I watched the Ultimate Edition of Batman vs Superman on the weekend. I can't compare it to the cinema release, but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I went of the rails by the end a fair bit, and I can't say I enjoyed Affleck as Batman at all, but the first half of the film at least was ok.

If I were being generous I'd put it somewhere around a 6/10

Well, Rotten Tomatoes seems to have it rating at over 70%, so it can't be that bad I suppose. My wife told me a couple of weeks ago she was really keen to see this movie, so I guess I might be checking it out in the next few weeks.

Well I was referring more to "fan" reactions. But...you are right on this one.

I have a feeling that this is gonna hit me like Jurassic World - a film that got overwhelmingly positive reviews and makes shit tons of money....yet I absolutely loathed it.

Fan reactions for Ghostbusters are too tainted by the controversy over the trailer to be taken seriously in this case. I don't doubt the movie is crap though, would be pretty surprised if I enjoyed it.

I pretty much despise the majority of remakes , reboots etc so went in with very low expectations for jurassic and ended up enjoying it immensely for what it was.

Adam Wingard's The Woods is actually a Blair Witch sequel.

I checked out the first couple of episodes of Stranger Things last night, and didn't mind it, though I found the 80s thing that some people seem to be raving about a little contrived.

Sadly, Wonder Woman looks like complete garbage.
