Yeah, there was nothing in the trailers that looked promising.
I recall the prior one, Salvation, being quite a mess as well.
Although, there were moments in Rise of the Machines that I enjoyed.

They were both ok in parts. I preferred Salvation - I thought it had an interesting story and spin on the whole Skynet thing, but was just lacking in execution.

Lacking in execution is right: I recall a scene in a dilapidated gas station along a barren highway where the characters step outside to find a monstrous and roaring Skynet Harvester waiting for them. That thing must have some serious ninja skills to sneak up on people like that. That was head-shakingly bad.

I'd watch this version of Jurassic World.

Only movie that matters besides the new Star Wars is Prometheus 2.

A friend from my radio station saw Genisys and said it was a lazy pastiche of all the best bits of the first three regurgitated - with tired clichés, good looking nobodies and hokey "nudge nudge wink wink" references aplenty.
Apparently that GoT chick is so bad that people at his screening were guffawing now and then at her "try hard cute cosplay" approximation of Sarah Connor.
And she doesn't even get her tits out.

If time travel hijinks bother you then yes. I'd say if they do then don't even bother with it, because it plays heavily into it, even more than normal Terminator flicks.
Otherwise, if people expect more than what this movie is for an action film then they probably shouldn't watch action films.
Yes it's dumb, convoluted, and has too many "nudge nudge wink wink remember this?" moments, but it's fun. Not as campy as part 3 was but nowhere near as serious as the first two were.
Just don't expect anything more than a fun dumb action movie (aren't they all dumb?) and it'll entertain just fine.
I say it's the 3rd best, though I would like to see Salvation again before i decide.

Arnold Schwarzenegger recently took part in a Reddit Q&A about his latest film Terminator Genisys. During the interview, one fan in the audience asked if he would be returning for the next Predator movie which is currently in development at 20th Century Fox. Unfortunately, Schwarzenegger mentions that he has not in fact been contacted yet about a role in the fourth sequel, which is said to take place directly after the original film, which he and director Shane Black both starred in. Arnold also makes a point of expressing his displeasure with the Predator sequels which had been made - adding that the cheaper route is not always the better route when it comes to Studio decisions to hire directors and cast. You can listen to what Arnold had to say below, his discussion about Predator 4 takes place roughly 14 minutes into the video:
Directed by Shane Black, written by TBA and starring TBA, Predator 4 releases 2018.

Predator 2 is better than any move Arnie has done in the last 20 years.
I have no expectations that any future Predator movies will be good though, AvP has killed all of those hopes and dreams.

Ben Affleck is now set to direct a standalone Batman film. Geoff Johns is attached as a writer.
