Yes, no great surprise in the outcome, but Oz performed much better than expected. It would have been a serious shocker if they won that game, and it could have happened with a couple key plays going their way.

Greatly anticipating Spain/Chile!!

The boys played well, left it all out on the pitch. They had their chances, unfortunately they could not get the ball in the back of the net. Timmy Cahill, you left your mark on the World Cup yet again. Top Aussie footballer in my book. They Almost shocked the world. Good experience for the young guns.

I can't believe Xavi is on the bench and I cannot fucking believe Costa is starting again. Villa should have started up top and Xavi should absolutely be on that pitch. Fucking dumb shit line up from Del Bosque

Wow. Can't wait to show that to my kid. I'm always trying to tell him to look for that second opportunity. Never give up.

Spain is looking overmatched. Sucks for them.

Fucking take Costa, Silva, and Pedro off the pitch. Put in Villa, Xavi and Fabregas or Matta. Maybe play two forwards and put in Torres as well. Fucking dumb shit Del Bosque. How did he think this line up would ever work against Chile??????

I really think the battle in La Liga this season and three Spanish teams in the Champions League semis has taken something out of the Spanish team. That battle all season between Barca, Real and Atletico seems to have drained the players. There is no energy. They are completely fucking flat. That and fucking Costa is a fucking joke.

Yay the Netherlands.

Given, Australia was by far better in the first half. The Dutch played like total crap. Excellent volley by Cahill. 2nd half the Dutch were slightly better, but still Australia was at least equal. The penalty is debatable (Janmaat could not chop his arm off). Then the 2-2. Then the miss with the chest and the good strike from Depay. The Australian goalie did not look all to well at that point.

Spain, I don't get it. If you play Costa, you play Koke + Villa as well. Costa + Barca midfield / winger does not work. If you play with the Barca midfield use Fabregas in the attack.
Ah well, Spain out.
Chili played well but just like against Australia they fatigue pretty fast at one point. So I am curious how they will cope with that against the real top countries.

But seriously, it's Chile: the country, not Chili: the delicious bean dish.

I'm finding all this 'You did a good job Australia' shit pretty fucking condescending, especially from the septic tanks.
