That probably makes more sense than the actual explanation for his name.

my (very) bold statement of the week: if the Knicks are getting 12 or more points on Friday night? I'm taking it. I know I know the Spurs haven't lost at home in like 10 years or whatever. I just think, even though the San Antonio are a far FAR superior team, that ultimately they do not match up well with us. call me crazy but I'm saying the Spurs do not cover that spread....we shall see.

@ NY - That was a close f'n game! It could have easily gone the Knick's way, but that's what the Spurs do... they know how to pull out the win in crunch time.

BTW - The Warriors remain perfect at home this season, sharing that distinction with the San Antonio Spurs (currently 9th on the all time home wins list @ 30 consecutive regular season home wins, going back to 2014-2015).

The Warriors are just the fifth team in history to win 36 in a row on their home court (regular season, going back to 2014-2015). Just 9 games away from surpassing the '95-'96 Bulls for the all time top spot.

We FINALLY face the Spurs this month, on Jan 25th. It will be a barn burner, and I'm definitely worried about this matchup.

Just. Wow.

4th? Even I am not convinced... not yet at least. And I'm a Steph fan, big time, of course. If he gets more rings and continues on this path, he might even advance higher. But as of right now....

Jerry West -best GM on the planet- back in November, talking about Draymond Green:
"If he's not a top 10 player in this league, I don't know who is."
So far,
GSWarriors 2015-16: 7 games of 35 assists or more
Rest of NBA 2015-16: 6 games of 35 assists or more

Gordon deserved the title for this alone.

Saturday night's Warriors win over OKC was epic. That last few minutes almost made my head explode. Steph and the Warriors have so many records this season alone, with 24 games remaining... it's absurd. Too many to list.

EPIC!

there's a good article in Sunday's sf chron on the science of Curry's shot.
His trajectory is perfect, makes for a 'soft' shot.

If you've got 4 minutes and missed the game, here are some essential highlights:

Just uh-mazing. I'll be surprised if there's a better regular season game for the rest of the season.

Draymond Green - first player in NBA history to record in one season:
1000 pts, 500 rebounds, 500 assists, 100 steals, 100 blocks
Not Magic, not Kareem, not Mike, no-body!

Yes, he's a beast.

Warriors have broken so many records already this season, and there are more to come. They are really rolling right now, despite injuries and sloppy ass turnover ridden play... they just get up, dust themselves off and continue to win.

I feel sick. Horrible mistakes were made.

Congrats to the Cavs.

Yuck.

Durant deserves more shit for this move than Lebron to Miami, but I doubt he will get it.

And now there's reports Duncan has decided to retire.

Oh KD is getting all kinds of shit for this, as he should be. But bottom line, he did what was best for him.

I'm not biased at all, but I think he made an excellent decision.

Fireworks tonight baby. Celebrate good times, c'mon.

Now we have to figure out how to round out the roster with pennies. Need some more ring chasers to step up please.

It's not that he left, or that he went to the Warriors (sort of). It's that he went to the team that he was THIS close to beating. A team OKC could beat should they have rematched. That's so odd to me.

This is nothing like Lebron leaving Cleveland, that Cavs team was crap. (Him going on tv to announce it was and still is a mega asshole thing to do). OKC has tons of talent and another top 5 player. I'm dumbfounded more than anything, really.

Zaza was not a bad choice for the min.

I agree that it seems odd from the perspective you voiced. Absolutely agree on some of your comments. But ultimately, he did what he needed to do and the rest doesn't really matter. I have a similar view on Tool. These guys express themselves creatively and we like listening/watching. The rest is peripheral and subject to interpretation (clearly). I don't think I'd be looking at it much differently if I was an OKC fan. I'd just be much, much, much less happy about it.

Historic triple double last night for Draymond Green
12 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 STEALS, 4 pts, 5 blocks
-no one has ever recorded a triple double scoring less than 10 points!

Holy shit. KD is damaged. End of World.

Supremely bummed, but hope to get him back for the playoffs.

Matt Barnes is a sad downgrade. But who wouldn't be?

it's okay, last year was to much of a glide in the regular season.
Better to have some adversity. Makes the ending sweeter.
Starts tonight.

And good thing too. I just couldn't take 4 L's in a row. It was an ugly game. Way too close against Philly!

I'm going on Saturday, first time this year.

ohh that was easy stuff last night :P
Sarovic - I though he was a big man but he handles the ball really well.
Philadelphia is going to be good soon.
Milwaukee, Giannis - nice, have fun on Saturday night.

Would be nice if LeBron can't go on Saturday and the Wiz can gain some ground on Cleveland and Boston while pulling more ahead of Toronto.
