That was awesome. I hope they don't fine him as he was obviously just trying to jump him. Even the guy he kicked was apparently joking about it.

JJ Watt was an absolute monster today. Feels good for my Texans to start off with a win and get that 14 game losing streak off their backs.

He didn't have enough hops though. Lol fun to watch tho. Who said the NFL was for pussies?

He was wearing a helmet. That does nothing do reduce the "NFL is for pussies" claim.

^ have you ever been kicked in the head with a helmet on? It fucking sucks.

I will give rugby players their due credit, they are beasts and I respect their game. But what people outside of the USA or who are not NFL fans fail to realize is the size/strength and athleticism some of these players have. Pads are essential or their would be deaths every season, guaranteed. The claim about them being pussies is a very ill informed claim. Once you get on the field, you would know what all the fuss is about.

The equipment is there because of the nature of the sport, not the size of the players.

^ I agree. It's the same in ICE hockey. But this whole bullshit claim that NFL players are soft because of pads and helmets needs to be squashed. It's common sense really

You're the one who brought it up.

It's pretty well known that HB doesn't care for American football but I doubt he actually thinks it's for "pussies"

Back on topic, I can't stand Cris Collinsworth's announcing. Most annoying douche in that role, ever. Dude was practically saying there will be a Super Bowl rematch because of the way the Seahawks and Broncos played in week one. Week one!

I think Chris Brown is worse. Having said that, Rice got what he deserves.

Well, from the NFL at least.

it's ok Und, I prefer you not get punched in the face by him either

FWIW, I have zero tolerance for hitting a lady ... that said, the whole situation is bogus ... all of the money and connections in and related to the NFL and this video is finally leaked after he's seen his day in court, received his initial suspension from the league and they've reconciled privately (having been married) and publicly via all typical league/media outlets.

I understand the league playing the all high and mighty, example for a better society role, but then again, this is the same league that has continuously celebrated this guy's murdering mentor, Ray Lewis, as though he's fucking Christ himself.

Meh, he's not on my fantasy team, so I don't give a fuck really ... simply put

I don't always punch my wife in the face, but when I do, I make sure there are no cameras filming it.

He's a dumb fuck and he will pay the price. Simple as that. There are other issues with the league concerning this matter but it will not tarnish the league in any sense. Unless a full independent investigation is taken, the league will continue to be a money making machine. Rice on the other hand is fucked!! As he should be
