Might be over on the north island in October (possible more Wellington though) so might be in touch.

Fantastic! And if I don't find a job extremely soon, I'll probably have either starved to death by that point, or back in Korea!

If you're in Wellington, I'm happy traveling there on a weekend to watch Wellington Phoenix play a match.

Sounds good, more likely I'll be heading out of town for a overnight walk somewhere. I'll be in touch when I get some better idea of what will be happening.

I'm heading to Lake Wainamu this weekend to jump off some black dunes. I have a whole new country to explore, so I'm pretty excited.

I'm not sure what's available around Wellington, but I'll find out in the next few months. A decent dormant volcano trek or something would be decent.

It's basically walking through Mordor. You can be Sam and I'll be Frodo.

What can't I miss in Sydney? Staying in Pott's Point/Kings Cross for 4 nights. Lay it on me.

You can't miss what a shithole Sydney is! I kidd, I kidd!

But it is a shithole.

What are the dates?

Talk a walk down darling harbour, then onto the rocks I guess.

Take a train to Bondi and see how shitty our most famous beach is.

Kings Cross is a shade of what it used to be due to lock out laws.

Oh and everything is really expensive.

I'm flying to Japan next month for a whole month.

Not the best time of the year to go but it's the only time.

Anyone been there? Any suggestions?

Thanks not tyson, I think? Are the lockout laws that bad? I heard 1:30 is the cut off. Nothing lets in after that? Planning on some late nights (6amish) if possible. Also going to be down to Jervis Bay and up to Port Douglas if anyone has recommendations.

Yeah 1:30 is the cut off in Kings Cross, but the Casino is open 24/7

Also ask some of the locals, a few pubs just a 10 minute walk from the cross don't have lock out laws.

If you come down to Jervis Bay you could have a beer with me.

I suggest these locations:

http://www.visitnsw.com/destinations/so ... reen-patch

http://www.visitnsw.com/destinations/so ... cave-beach

Caves beach is an awesome place to camp but you have to book, also a bit of bush walking and you can throw rocks at the stupid seals, fuck I hate seals, lazy cunts.

Do you have a car? Because camping here for a night or 2 wouldn't be a bad idea, hire a kayak and go up and down the beautiful Shoalhaven river

http://www.coolendel.com.au/

Caught a massive bass there once.

7 mile beach is also known as one of the greatest on the coast

http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/natio ... x?id=N0031

And finally for the best steaks going either try The Australian in Nowra (where you could have a beer on me!) or if you are just staying around Husky/Jervis the Husky pub isn't too shabby with some great views

http://australianhotelnowra.com/

http://www.thehuskisson.com.au/

Probably missing a few things. Shoalhaven Zoo if you're into that kinda thing.

Yep you need to have reached your destination by 1.30. Sydney siders require that level of supervision.

The Opera bar at night is quite a lovely view (it's an outdoor bar).

Port Douglas is a great spot to do a reef tour from. The reef is spectacular and will be a highlight for you I'm sure. Enjoy!

Not Tyson. I will be staying in Berry so not too far from Nowra. Your steak house looks amazing. If I have some time I will swing through for a pint.

Thanks Liz. The wife definitely wants to hit the Opera house bar. Rock out.
