The heart is heavy tonight
and so will be my drinking.

Go get those wings, Mom.
I love you.

Now would be perfectly reasonable.

I don't follow racing but some friends do....
Kevin Ward Jr. was hit and killed by Tony Stewart while dirt track racing.

I was just thinking about him the other day.

I think we should be happy for him, if it was a suicide.

Hear me out:

1. Over 60

2. Battled substance abuse all his life

3. Battled depression all his life

4. Had an intimidating list of achievements

5. Left an amazing and varied legacy

6. Left life on his own terms

I'm not being stupid; I honestly think this is a good thing.

If it turns out to be autoerotic asphyxiation, however . . . Yeesh.

Just watched Mrs Doubtfire with the kiddos the other day. Dude had issues for sure, but he had his funny moments. RIP

If Crow ever tops himself someone remind me to list the reasons we should be happy for him!

I never found Williams particularly funny tbh but I did enjoy several of his movies and I thought he played the creepy Sy particularly well (One Hour Photo).

Just goes to show what a problematic thing it is to effectively treat mental illness. Here is someone who should have been able to access every resource. So very sad.

Awakenings is one of the greatest movies of all time. I can't wait until I'm in one of those super-depressed moods to throw it on again. haven't watched it in years. R.I.P. Robin.

He chucked a Hunter S Thompson, big deal.

He was a great man who lived a great life, checked out on his own terms.

We aren't talking about some 28yr old rock star who so is full of himself he decides to deepthroat a shotgun.

Succumbing to a depressive illness (if that is what happened and from all reports it appears likely) is not checking out on your own terms.
