I never found Williams particularly funny tbh but I did enjoy several of his movies and I thought he played the creepy Sy particularly well (One Hour Photo).
Just goes to show what a problematic thing it is to effectively treat mental illness. Here is someone who should have been able to access every resource. So very sad.
I agree
LOL, is liz still saying shit about me, even when she knows for a fact that the only way for me to know is if someone quotes her?
Man, that's almost psychopathic.

We aren't talking about some 28yr old rock star who so is full of himself he decides to deepthroat a shotgun.
Succumbing to a depressive illness (if that is what happened and from all reports it appears likely) is not checking out on your own terms.
THANK YOU!!! at least someone got it.
Being facetious?

He fought that battle for 60 something fucking years while becoming one of the biggest stars on the planet. He's had more fun than anyone on this forum can even comprehend of having. He didn't succumb to anything, he looked to his future and remembered his past, took one step forward and he pulled the rope taut.
I bet he did it with the biggest fucking smile on his face as well.
Hello oblivion . . .

He died... lets just remember his funny moments, honor his list of accomplishments, and stop being such assholes about if its good for him or not. His family must be devastated. I, for one, feel awful that one of the greatest comedians of our time has passed. Its a sad day...

Hello oblivion . . .
It's a bit of a worry that you had to explain this.
Remind me to not get into a debate about euthanasia with these people . . .

Gustavo Cerati from Soda Stereo died today after a 4 year coma. That was an excellent band and he was a great performer. Just 55 (51 when he had the stroke). Really sad.

Personally I was devastated to hear this. He and his brother were awesome hosts, and it was an excellent way to kill an hour on a road trip. The credits at the end of each Car Talk ep were hilarious.
