My guess for posters is variations on the Monster Mash one.

From what i've seen, this tour has the best stage setup they've ever had. Love the screens on the sides.

Maynard's voice sounds really weird when he speaks at the beginning of that Grudge clip.

sounds like mayanrd actually attempted The Grudge scream. Obviously much much shorter than the album scream, but in recent performances didnt he just do nothing?

EDIT: on second listen maybe he did nothing. This clip sounds like he tried (1min 30sec mark), but other clips are different

A couple of thoughts.

One. I can not understand why no quarter and the grudge are in the beginning of the set. No quarter isn't a great opener, too slow. And to play the two songs people don't expect right off the bat kind of makes the rest of the set boring. Also, in my opinion Stinkfist is one of the worst closers. End with the grudge. Or Lateralus, we have all seen it yes but the visuals are great and the message is nice to leave with. Vicarious and stinkfist is just not a good encore.

Two. Descending changed slightly, again. Maynard is again humming some vocals, which is good to see. The video for it looked bad ass. Only disappointment is they seemed to have shortened the jam. Hopefully that changes.

Three. Im sure Tool did there standard hour and a half. But how long did Primus play for? What was the wait in between?

four. Very curious to see if they change a song or two for night two san fran. I imagine at least one as is the custom for a double header. I wonder what would change in and out? Im sure it will be either no q or the grudge, but I would prefer to change our parabol/a for say... Intension/right in two... or even better Rosetta Stoned! You cant change out No Q and the grudge for something weak.

Five. Thoughts gents?

I agree with the setlist order - No Quarter is a wierd song to start with. I think they do Stinkfist last these days so they can use their glitter machine, which I find a bit wierd (I presume they still do this). They should open with The Grudge, get rid of Vicarious and close with Lateralus.

No Primus at the SF shows

Word is at the soundcheck they played

so I'd say that's a good chance for tonight.

Fuck I would kill for that one!

I can see the gripes about No Quarter, but I thought it sounded cool as an opener (in the video anyway). I sometimes like things that start very slow as openers.

Stinkfist should 100% not be the closer though. Would LOVE if they ditched Vicarious and brought Lateralus back, or literally any other song. That said... this show/production looks fucking fantastic and I can't wait to see whatever they do when they get here.

I agree. I was at the Halloween show and No Quarter does fit as an opener, especially with The Grudge to follow.
