Looks like one of the pieces Adam shared recently on Instagram wasn't for Tool, but for punk band Red Hare's album Nites of Midnight. I've never heard of Red Hare but they consist of Swiz members Jason Farrell (also of Bluetip and Retisonic), Shawn Brown (also of Dag Nasty and Jesus Eater), Dave Eight (Swiz and Bluetip), as well as Joe Gorelick (of Garden Variety, Retisonic, and Bluetip). Here's a album:

The album should be available via Dischord on May 21.

Sounds cool to me. I'm a Fugazi/Dischord Records superfan. I do like some of these guys previous bands - Bluetip, Dag Nasty and Swiz though.

Propagandhi is pretty much the only punk band I've listened to with interest in the last few years, but I gotta say this artwork looks wild

I didn't mind the track I posted in the article.  Nothing mind blowing though.  Cover art and red vinyl looks cool though.

the cover art is sick. song wasn't bad at all. is this what AJ's listening to nowadays? between them and Mnemic that's a nice change of pace. what's Maynard listening too? Devo?

I saw Fugazi live 4 times, they were always incredible and they remain (along with Tool) as one of my favorite bands of all time.

Also, I wouldn't just totally write off Red Hare as "punk" though. These guys' former bands cover a wide range of genres/sub-genres.

Dope album cover artwork! Haven't listened to the band at all yet. If it's punk I'm sure it's going to be very "run of the mill" so easy to listen to and nothing new.

I don't quite dig it, but I'd hardly call it "run of the mill punk music."

@joeypants I'll still check it out I'm aware that it could surprise me. I usually give most music a chance except for country, pop or hip pop (studio produced ganstas n shit).

Yeah not really I'm 28 and don't really listen to alot of metal either... well... depends on what you consider metal... and country is absolutely out of the question for me. I had a bad experience (i listened to it once upon a time).

Don't like rap very much...
I'll listen to it when I take my wife out dancing because it is danceable. I'd prefer to go to industrial EBM clubs though... much better dance music.

POP.... yeah... not for me.... shallow lyrics, processed voices, studio musicians selling their souls for a few bucks with no credit on the albums.... I have an audio engineering degree and we studied the biz... the pop biz is a sham and I don't support it. Plus it's brainwashed the masses. Do you believe anyone has moves like Mick Jagger?

One time long ago I was a metal head which evolved into a hardcore head and then I woke up... I still listen to a vast array of music but don't care about twangy ballads pertaining to trailers, dogs and muh baby... The music that I do adore that some would confuse with country is Bluegrass... shits dope.

Wow Tyson! Thanks for the therapy session! You sound like a professional asshole... No worries we've all been one at some point.

Afterthought... What the fuck is it with all the people in this fucking forum that decide they are going to call people out? (Yes I'm calling the people out that call people out I already know someone will drop that line so let me nip it now).
Seriously... it's like conflict MUST occur in here! I swear to fucking Christ (yes the fictional biblical character) it's getting fucking old. Nobody can say anything in here without some smart mouthed piece of shit chiming in and being confrontational.
I'M HERE BECAUSE I LIKE TOOL AND THIS SITE IS FUCKING TITS! (TITS=AWESOME BECAUSE WE ALL LIKE TITS BOYS AND GIRLS ALL OVER THE WORLD)
Can we share this common interest and let people have opinions without judging them. You have no idea who is making a fucking post. Maynard could be in here posting shit you never know! I'm going to choose to no longer be confrontational in here.

@Tyson: Sigh... I hope you feel masculine after being antagonistic in a forum. You're probably whacking off as we speak because you feel so turned on by your own masculinity.
Whatever you say goes now ok "G Unit". We'll play by your rules does that make you feel better? Everyone gets a trophy for playing too ok?

Tyson's just having a laugh.  Best bet is to ignore him.  You can be guaranteed most of us here don't give a flying fuck what you do/don't listen to.
