Finally got around to picking up Far Cry 3, absolutely fantastic.  I can definitely see it as my game of the year.

"SKYRIM", with four German beers.

It would be the perfect Xmas if it wasn't for my drunk girlfriend acting like an annoying jackass.
O love will you read the letters I will send to you.

"SKYRIM" Sunday. Time to start leveling up in all the areas I never use. What the fuck is a shield, right.

The only time I used a shield in Skyrim was when I got that spellbreaker from that Daedric quest.  It was insanely useful given that my character was super vulnerable to magic for some reason.  Frost and lightning would just me fuck me up so quickly if I didn't have that shield, though I was pretty much immune to fire damage.

Okay, finally Bethesda deserves a little bit of props.  Patch version 1.8 is a significant improvement for Skyrim on the PS3.  This is the best the game has played in a long time.

When the game first shipped, I did, admittedly, rave about how good it was.  But that changed as I got further into the game and started experiencing glitches, and then subsequent patches made things worse and worse.  Bethesda got it horribly wrong with Skyrim on the PS3.  The game itself is outstanding, but it was fairly obvious that Bethesda focused primarily on PC and 360 when they had that 11/11/11 release date in mind.  Over a year and change later and they are still addressing Skyrim issues on the PS3.

I hope that more fully explains my position regarding Skyrim.  I never actually got an opportunity to explain my change in position on the game since that cunt Und decided he had nothing better to do than go back over years of posting so he could make me look bad.  An incident that a younger version of myself would have probably responded to far differently, but I digress.  What's done is done.

The true litmus test will be how the DLC's play on the PS3.  The 1.8 patch is an improvement that will hopefully allow many PS3 users to at least have a playable gaming experience.

Indie game called Don't Starve. It's a survival sim of sorts, a littlelike a top down Minecraft with the focus on survival rather than building. seems simple but is deceptively deep and addictive.

That side mission in Far Cry 3 where you have to kill the dogs with the flame thrower is fucked up.

Finished BioShock yesterday and I am 3 hours into BioShock 2 right now. Purchased BioShock Infinite and I'm looking forward to it.

Man, I'm only the one that thought Skyrim's lockpicking sucked.

I thought it was an insignificant enough part of the game that it wasn't worth worrying about weather it sucked or not.

Also, I've been playing a lot of Mount & Blade: Warband today, which is excellent fun.  In particular using the Floris and Game of Thrones mods...
