Best Albums of 2019

Post by hellboy »

Well, it's that special time of year when we debate who's got the shittiest taste in music. The time old tradition of posting your favorite albums, and then have them laughed at by Califum has arrived. I'll post my shortlist in the bit, but for now, you can submit entries for the official Fourtheye poll at the link below:

https://forms.gle/3BCjdBYinu6azvrZ9

Don't vote for Fear Inoculum though, as I won't be counting those (we all know it'd win).

if anyone uses Spotify, and would like to put together a compilation of their favorite albums/tracks from 2019, that would be a playlist i would love to follow. Finding new music is always difficult for me, but a playlist from some of you guys would be a great starting point.

just a thought. carry on.

btw, nice lookin list HB, i assume.

He think everything is me, I take it as a compliment.

When Crow and I were banned apparently someone sent him a barrage of abusive emails and he blamed that on me.

I mean come on now.

I look forward to diving into everyone's lists and finding some gems..... and grindcore albums I can skip.

0- Tool - Fear Inoculum (hip hop)
1 - Villagers of ionna city - Age of Aquarius (stoner, psychedelic post rock folk)
2 - Tike Taane - One man band (acoustic, reggae electro)
3 - Lo-pan - Subtle (groove rock )
4 - The Heavy - Sons (funk soul rock)
5 - John Garcia and the band of gold (stoner)
6 - Metallica - Helping hands acoustic. (Actually kinda cool - check out the reworking of disposable heroes)
7 - Lab - III - (funk soul )
8 - Baroness - Gold & Grey (clipping shit recording rock)
9 - Ash Grunwald - Mojo (blues rock)
10 - The Dead south - Sugar and joy (bluegrass soul rock)

I've started up a 4theye 2019 playlist and made it collaborative and public, with one song from each of my album picks. Then any song that stands out to a listener can then follow the Spotify rabbit hole and check out the artist.

Can y'all either add a song from each of your albums to the list or if ya don't use Spotify, note a song each below and I'll update the playlist as I have time permitting.
