Sorry, Apple does nothing for me on any level.  Talented chick though no doubt about it.

Subjective Rating : 3/10

Objective Rating: 7/10

Thanks for this.  It doesn't affect me at all if people don't like this album but it's cool that you got what I'm going for.

The point of "album of the week", and I told HB this the other day, for me is to hear something you normally wouldn't.  I hope people here aren't dismissing it without hearing it just because it's her.

No problem RP.  Fiona Apple, in my mind, is on par with Alicia Keys.  Two incredibly talented musicians with excellent voices.  While their style of music doesn't appeal to me I can absolutely appreciate the level of musicianship and creativity they put into their music.

Ah that's a pretty good comparison in my book. Keys doesn't do much for me but I for damn sure recognize her vocal and piano/keyboard skills...

Fiona is an oddity for me.... Though I recognize other solo female singer/songwriters have talent/are bad ass in some way (Alanis, Tori, Bjork, Stevie, etc.)

She's just something else to me. She just hits me in THAT spot. Above The Doors, NIN, Tool, etc. etc.

Yes I think she is beautiful. But I honestly mean that^ in a musical sense.
