So like back in ‘94 I was on this plane to Connecticut, and I look over and wouldn’t you know it I’M ON THE SAME PLANE AS MAYNARD JIM KEENAN.  Dude’s sitting in fucking coach; I would’ve thought he’d be in like first class.  He’s surrounded by children and it doesn’t look like’s he having a good time.  Anyways he’s eating some nuts and all of a sudden he starts coughing, like he’s choking.  I go to ask him if he’s alright when the baby sitting in front of him starts bawling its eyes.  Apparently it was sleeping and Maynard’s coughing woke it up.  Now Jimmy seems really pissed, he’s staring daggers at the seat in front of him.  This kid’s crying for like 5 minutes before the mom decides to do something, so she picks up the baby and holds him up to her shoulder, and the baby’s face is visible over the seat and it looks JUST LIKE A MINI MAYNARD.  After a couple of minutes the baby calms down and the rest of the flight is pretty peaceful.

So we land in Connecticut and I head to the next gate to get on a connecting flight to New York.  I board and get seated when I see MJK get on the plane.  He looks out at the crowded Coach section, and I see the color just drain from his face.  He starts talking to one of the stewardesses, holding up the line of boarding passengers.  It was pretty loud in the cabin so I couldn’t hear what he was saying, but I figure he was trying to finagle a seat in First Class.  This is going on for a couple of minutes and you can tell everyone is getting frustrated.  The people in the line start pushing and shoving Jimmy trying to get him out of the way.  Maynard’s really pissed at this point.  He starts pushing back and raising his voice and all the commotion causes another baby to start crying.  This pushes Maynard over the edge and he starts fighting with one of the boarding passengers!  The air marshal gets called and Maynard and a couple of other passengers are escorted off the plane, and that’s the last I see of him.

Thinking back on it now, I’m surprised Maynard wasn’t arrested; things were different back then, before 9/11.  Anyways that’s my story and I think it’s clear how it was the inspiration for the song Pushit.
