I'll be at the first few shows in Minnesota and Kansas City (got tickets - both GA) but I'm probably going to do one more (St. Louis or Toronto) if anyone's keen for a beer or several. Travelling around the States during my two weeks off work.

I'm pretty excited to be attending the very first show of the new tour - where's a good place to hang out in St. Paul before the show?

My wife heard it on 107.7 in Seattle. They did it at 10am. Not sure if u got a code or what but it happened. Sorry if that post was a little vague, but I was too busy sleeping at 10am so I didn't get to try. Was just seeing if anyone on here scored them. I guess the answer is no.

I'll be coming from Milwaukee that day, and I obviously don't live there but did go to the Tool show/River's Edge last year and it's pretty much right next to Harriet Island.  We wound up just walking around that area and found some decent restaurant/bar places.  For food and drinks you won't find a shortage of places to go within walking distance:

^^^ EDIT: shit, not sure why google maps won't save a link.  I just typed in the "Xcel Energy Center St. Paul", and "searched nearby: bars"

I love NIN (probably even more than Tool) but is a photoshoot of a video for an at best average NIN song really necessary?

Is David Lynch that cool?  He was awesome in those Louie episodes I'll give him that.

New, major record label deal with upcoming album/tour = promotions.

I don't think this photo shoot is that big a deal anyway with today's social media.

Can't be that bad. Lynch is incredible.

The music, on the other hand . . .

And no, I still won't watch it.

Oh, fuck. Where to begin.

That was one of the laziest music videos I've ever seen. There were flashes of brilliance, to be sure. But for the most part, a repetitive, boring, piece of shit to match a boring, repetitive, song.

Lynch. Come on, man. What the fuck.

Gonna listen to "BROKEN" and play "GOTHAM CITY IMPOSTORS". Yeah, fuck you, I have no friends.

And what, exactly, was the point of the epileptic flashes? It's almost as if they wanted a response.

Dull, boring, and lazy.

See: "Perfect Drug" on how to do a classy NIN music video.

Fucking hell. Maybe I'm just old. Or Reznor isn't old enough.

Grabbed two tickets to the November 5 date in San Antonio this morning, I am very much looking forward to seeing NIN live. Anyone else going to be there?

Well, nearly finished with "BROKEN", and frankly, I'm disgusted.

"THE FRAGILE" wasn't supposed to be balls, and that's why I liked it. It was art, and a little bit cheekily "new".

Going from "BROKEN" all the way through to whatever bullshit this fucking dickhead thinks that he's doing now is laughable.

And I cry. Good tunes, brothers and sisters. They are to be had, if you wander back through the NIN discog.

Don't go forward. Ugh.

Gonna listen to either COIL or FOETUS to calm me down. I NEED TO BE CALMED DOWN.

Totally agree with you on "Perfect Drug". That's still to this day one of my favorite music videos. The song is ok musically but Trent has just lost it lyrically ever since he wrote "With Teeth". I still love to listen to that album and anything after it because sonically it's all very pleasing but I'd rather he wrote some more heartfelt "REAL" stuff...

It was inevitable though... success is a creativity killer.  Wife, kid, everlasting gobstopping money... Comfort... the root of all complacence.

I'm hoping there are some gems on the new album. I'm still buying it because I've always supported Trent and anyone on that side of the business (as far as genre goes). Maybe we'll get another "Ghosts" album out of him before he hangs up his coat forever.

First track. And "Sunspots". And I think it's called "Beside you in time"? Really not sure. Hammered.

He can, actually, write good lyrics. And music to match it.

Might throw off my beautiful TODAY IS THE DAY for "WITH TEETH". Just for fun.

Yeah we all know he's very capable. He's much better at what he does when he's in pain though. Although "The Fragile" is my favorite album and that's when he decided to clean himself up... But I'll assume cleaning up was farm more painful than giving in.

So the digital, cd, deluxe cd, and vinyl will all have different covers and it seems as if he's not using the orange and blue one anymore (good).

I'd post the pics here but I've got no idea how to do that on my phone.
