First time I've gotten around to listening to these, great pick Kit. I've always loved Zappa, but have taken my sweet time going through his catalog since it's so vast. Montana's a great way to close an album. And if these
two being sold as one wasn't enough for some of you, most of the tracks on both albums are from the same recording sessions.

Ahhh, Infotainment!
Re: Album of the Week - Frank Zappa - Apostrophe / Overnight
I've apologized to Kitaan and I promised him my review of this, so here I go.
Apostophre encapsulates what I've always thought of Zappa: creative, unique, weird, but ultimately doesn't do much for me. I've never been a big fan of his because it seems as if he's REALLY trying to be extra weird. I know the guy was legit weird and its probably me, but this album just reinforced my thoughts on him. Having said that, it's not bad by any means and I'm glad I heard it.
6/10
Over-Nite Sensation on the other hand, was not at all what I was expecting after the first one. It's like he decided he was too tired to be extra weird that day and decided to just have some fun. All at worst solid tracks, with Camarillo Brillo being my favorite. Good stuff all around on this one.
7.5/10

You shouldn't have apologised.
He choose two albums, in a blatant disregard of the rules.

He's not the fucking first one to do it or attempt it, either.
Looks like my choice of KING CRIMSON's entire catalogue looks like it'll get the go-ahead.
O love will you read the letters I will send to you.

@ RP - I agree, no need to apologize. I already explained what happened, no need to rehash it.
@ Tyson - That said ^ Blow me, blow hard.
@ Crow - that is one pick I would welcome, but it wouldn't be anything new for me. If you're really going to that, I think a better way to go would be to pick a KC era. There are, in many ways, completely different bands within the KC umbrella. I like them all to varying degrees. We need a KC thread!
