That's the best number I could find.  Not even sure if that's relevant for 2012 to be honest.  If someone has a better number I'm all ears.

Wow.. At the risk of sounding like a total racist, perhaps they need more stringent regulations if the numbers are around that mark. Staying near Homebush when I went Sydney to see Tool was a bit of a shock to me.. We waited 3-4 hours both nights as the cab drivers drove around in circles intentionally knocking back fares to help jack up the price they could get to take people home. One young girl all by herself was in tears calling the cab company in despair begging them to make one of the cab drivers to give her a lift to no avail. Added to the fact, the group I was with were getting the occasional death stare & strange looks as we went to the shops during the day for standing out from the predominantly lebanese crowd.. Didn't sit too well with me & swayed my usually diplomatic approach to migration a bit.

I don't have a solution to illegal migration, but if this is the way it's turning down there, then yeah I definitely support stricter rules for legal & illegal immigration.

Yeah, that does sound pretty racist.

Yeah I know it does but If ya met me in real life you'd find pretty quickly that I'm Far from it.. Upon meeting people I treat them with respect & kindness regardless of race, sexual preference etc. my opinion of people is based on their actions & nothing else.  seriously man, the way we were treated that weekend by the locals of the area (that I encountered) was fucking disgraceful & left a sour taste in my mouth.

It doesn't mean I hate that culture, nor Am I naive enough to think that's what lebanese culture is like across the board but it was enough for me to sway my opinion a little bit to feel that perhaps some tighter controls could be put in place. I dunno, is a hard one to explain.

Laurie Oakes gave the debate to Abbot.

I guess Oakes can go fuck himself.

Abbot's closing remarks were laughable.

His whole debate was.

As a political tragic this has been by far the worse campaign I've ever seen.

Abbots paid parental scheme is just insane.

More middle class welfare.

Release the costings you fucking cunt.

I'd hate to be a public servant in Canberra right now, I'd say 40% of them will be fired if the Liberals win.

Personally, I'd rather pay a Carbon Tax that a Parental Leave Tax.

I'm fucking surprised at The Australian today, they are all over Tony Abbott for that comment.

How does this thread have 89 replies (90 now) and only 48 views!? Fucking weird.

I can't be fucked to read about Oz politics though. I am sick to death enough of US politics.

Because it was started before the forum was switched over, obviously.

Ooooooooh boy. Oh boy.

Wow. Just, whoa.

Definitely, definitely, leaving the country if he gets in. This is no longer a cute little joke. I've been living out of the country for the entirety of Rudd, anyway - I'm sure I can do it with someone I actually categorically hate.

Oh man.

Oh well, Tony wins.

Rudd is looking off the rails right now.

Won't be voting for Tony but I know he'll win.

Dang.

Labor is a mess, that's why.

I'm sorry I ever supported Rudd, but then I never saw him campaign when he was behind in the polls. What a cry baby.

Only voting labor because we could actually win this seat after 16 years of liberal.

To be completely fucking honest with everyone, were I to be in Oz when this fiasco went down, I'd vote either Greens or draw a large penis ("donkey vote").

I've changed my tune from a few years ago, but honestly - what's the fucking point? I like Rudd as a person and as a leader; but from what I hear, fuck this shit.
