Football and soccer are not the same. Football is a brutish sport. Gladiators for the modern age.

Soccer is a little more genteel; although they do head butt the ball....that's just silly.

Well my Aussie football experience is in Victoria and South Australia, so yeah AFL. Mind you American football and rugby here seem kinda similar, although the yanks do wear all the padding.

AFL is one of the most 3 dimensional games out of all the sports, it is hands down the best sport in regards to fitness, athleticism and toughness.

Try watching a game some time.

This is coming from a NSW kid brought up on NRL.

"World" Ball between Oz and NZ last year for Netball was one of the coolest games of anything I've ever watched.
