They just added a second show for Red Rocks. Presales sold out fast.

- You like noisy music?
- Yes. The louder the better. Stops me from thinking.
- You don't like to think? What do you like?
- Never thought about it.

CHRIS CORNELL TALKS NINE INCH NAILS’ INFLUENCE ON SOUNDGARDEN

Chris Cornell discussed Nine Inch Nails’ influence on Soundgarden in a new interview with Radio.com.
“We chose video directors for ‘Jesus Christ Pose’ and ‘Rusty Cage’ based on the ‘Head Like a Hole’ video. Because we saw that, loved the song, loved the video, and it was this different kind of approach to industrial/punk rock/metal, but maybe none of those things. I was a fan of industrial music, but you sort of had to suffer through the fact that there tended to be no songs. And, suddenly, here’s a song! It’s almost like a song that we could have done or written, but presented in a different way. It had this moment of influence on me.”
“I’d want to do ‘Head Like a Hole’ [if we covered an NIN song]. There’s a lot of them. But that was that first moment when I went, wow, this is special, this is different from anything.”
- You like noisy music?

What a nice guy. Considering how Trent has fucked with him...

Trent even put up a website mocking that (admittedly horrendous) album with TimbaBland.

That's because Cornell is a class act. I still think that seeing him perform acoustically about 3 years ago now was one of the best performances I've seen. It was a very intimate, bare show. The man and his talent were as exposed as they could be and it was mesmerising.

Thanks for the article. Some of these blokes really can be little bitches.

Cornell didn't get as butt hurt as some of you did, obviously. They're touring together this summer.

Trent overreacts to what other musicians so with their own music and I agree that sometimes he should probably keep his trap shut.

But that hardly makes him unique in that category.

Then he should take the high road and treat his fellow musicians with respect.

What is he, a rapper dissing his rivals?

Pathetic.

Yes Crow, hence the "he should keep his trap shut" part.

That's the shit. I tried (not too terribly hard, clearly) to find it, but no luck.

To be fair, Superunknown was a tiresome radio rock friendly dirge with a few listenable tracks here and there and a massive step down from the psych metal behemoth that was Badmotorfinger.

I didn't listen to it until like late last year when it was on sale on Amazon. I'm not a huge Soundgarden fan, but I thought it was pretty good myself. Though I think I've only listened to it like once. Maybe I'll listen to it again.

"KING ANIMAL"? i THINK IT WAS CALLED?

Whoops, caps.

Terrible, and you?

I thought it was OK. I think most SOUNDGARDEN is great. I'm a huge 1990s fan though, so maybe I'm not an objective person to ask.

Give it a whirl, mate. It's worth at least one play-through.

Definitely check out the Headphone X Demo: http://www.soundgardenworld.com/superunknownxdemo

I am not convinced of the overall quality or listening experience (just listening on ear buds) but the definition is impressive and it's pretty well done technically.

Re: King Animal, here's a link. [BBvideo 560,340][/BBvideo]

I enjoyed it after a few listens, but it's definitely not on a par with their best material IMO. Worth a spin to hear for yourself.

Yes, I am doing fine, thanks for asking. Have a great evening!
