Yeah, no good reason for attending Day 2 at all.

Faith No More, Soundgarden, Godflesh - will go for those three. Overall the lineup is pretty uninspiring. If Faith No More weren't playing I'd be giving it a miss.

I'm going to have to do some homework. At this point I'm very satisfied with day 1 but yeah day 2 is a bit of a concern. Mind you I will be doing most of my viewing from some grass in the shade I reckon so I don't need so much from that day.

agreed, but day 1 is the clear winner ... Soundgarden, Incubus, Ne Obliviscaris, Ministry, Antemasque (presuming Flea is playing live) are all interesting enough to fill out the remainder of my time for the price

so have they said which city (Melb/Adelaide, etc.) Day 1 and/or 2 is actually related to since it's a swap affair?

I'm looking forward to NeObiviscaris as well. I have seen them once already and they lived up to their rep. Also looking forward th Fear Factory. They put on a cracking show last year.

For Day/City details, refer to the poster:

I wonder if that's it, or if there will be further acts added?

And it's a win for Adelaide. The world's fifth most livable city!

Looks like it may not be necessary to have the Monday off. Day two plays like a recovery.

Given that the difference between 1 and 2 day passes is only $55, it wouldn't take much for Day 2 to become viable. I'd be keen for Judas Priest, and to a small extent Manson, but if they could add one or two solid acts I might see it as worthwhile.
Faith no more sideshow please.
That would be ideal, though I imagine very unlikely in SA.

Was surprised to see that Rise Against wasn't announced, it almost seemed like a certainty. Either way, I expect the headliner is for Day 2, Rise Against would be a decent fit (and also within the theme of shitty bands playing that day).

Word is that Machine Head were announced on Channel V as well, so should be expected on the 2nd announcement.

Hopefully Machine Head joins day 1 for Melbourne...would go well with that line up and by the looks I'm the only person who thinks it's decent!

I'd go see them if they popped up on the FNM/SG day, but wouldn't be much influence in my decision to attend the other one.

There is much in day 2 that I am not familiar with that's why I mentioned doing homework. The advantage of the 2 days is going to see stuff you'd otherwise miss so I'll be pleased to hopefully find a gem or two.

Maybe, I'd hazard to guess the names that I'm unfamiliar with are from genres I don't really care much for. I will do some further research in regards to some of the smaller bands, but for me the non-headliners are pretty disappointing this year.

A synctube session featuring unfamiliar bands might be useful.

It might be, but I will be largely unavailable for synchtubing in the foreseeable future.
