There is absolutely no way I'll be able to not listen to the album first. Seeing them Nov 1st here! Cannot wait as it's very, very rare I get to just stroll down the street and see a legendary band.
Onions Make The Milk Taste Bad is one of the best songs I've heard from Melvins. Easily the standout on this album for me.
Well... minus that PAINFUL fucking fade out. That is a cruel, sick fucking joke. I swear they timed it to mimic what it's like when you get an incoming call while listening to music. Fucks me up EVERY TIME it happens even though I know it's coming.
It has a real "on/off" flow to it. One song sounds like the heavy/metal Melvins and then the next is the more weird/poppy/"alternative" Melvins. I fucking love it.
It's an interesting album. A lot more of a Melvins/Surfers crossover than I expected (I figured it would mostly just be an Melvins album). Looking forward to a listen on decent speakers today. Early impressions are good.
I have a date with Buzz tonight!! Still haven't listened to the new album. Can't wait to go in blind on this, haven't done that with a well known band in many years.
Still waiting for SNIVLEM to release an album that fucking sucks.
I don't know what it is with The King. I can't remember anything that I've heard from him and his that I didn't at least appreciate. Or laugh at. Which (I would assume ("PRICK")) he would've wanted anyway.
The dude can do no wrong. Much like HARVEY MILK, MELVINS have never, ever, hit a weak point.
Also, listen to HARVEY MILK everyday, you pissweak bitches.
O love will you read the letters I will send to you.
Be nice: The only shot I got from seeing KRISTIN HERSH was the empty stage and her guitar before she ever showed up - and as I took the photo, I was commanded to delete it.
Sometimes it's just the little things.
That said, I've framed my ticket from her show, and treasure the photo I took.
O love will you read the letters I will send to you.

Stoked for this show.
I broke down and peeked because I had to know whether they play my favorite song on the new album. Naturally, they do, although I'm curious how they'll pull it off live with only the one guitar. Buzz hasn't let me down yet though, so I'm bringing my diaper. Let me know how it goes! I see them next Saturday.
Thanks Crow. Typical Tyson. I have a few more shots, but I wasn't going to stand there like an idiot updating FE. Thought some might like to see the stage setup.
Amazing fucking show, Joey. Even loved the opener. Now that I know there's interest I'll post a review later as time permits
Shocker: they were fucking amazing Saturday night. The way they ended the show was amazing, and the rest of it was too. I'm still sick to my fucking stomach though because I left the show when they were done because we had a party to go to, and it never even crossed my mind that I would have the chance to hang out with them. I'm friends with the people at EGC who make their instruments, and my friend just got done making a new snare for Dale. So an hour after they're done we're now at this party and I start getting texts... "where are you? Come backstage, about to get high with Dale and Honky... Buzz is here too, come on back." Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack. Next time hopefully.
