^ I haven't really listened to any of there new stuff. I just bought my pre-sale tickets and got pretty damn good seats. I will give Deftones new music a listen now that I will be seeing them live for the first time. Very excited to see both of these bands. Even though Incubus' newer albums really suck they are always fun live.

well, if it's outside, you're definitely not getting a proper deftones show, but I'd still take that over 90% of other bands ... I never much cared for incubus, but I did see hem several times in their earlier days and they were always a good live band.

Jerry Cantrell is going to appear on the new Deftones album.
"In DEFTONES songs, there's not really any guitar solos per se, but there was a section in there where [there was room for] not necessarily a typical solo, but it had an area where it could use something like what he does, especially… just his style and the way he plays guitar. So I sent him the track, and then he sent me a demo of it back, like, two days later. So, yeah, when we recorded the song [properly for the album], he came in and laid it down. And it's awesome. It's like you're hearing a DEFTONES song, but all of a sudden, a little bit of ALICE IN CHAINS seeps its way in there, and it's kind of neat. I mean, me, as a fan, I was just sitting back and a little tear came out of my eye."

I don't know... I'm kinda curious to hear what a Chino AIC solo would sound like.

You can bidc on a Fender Squier Bullet Stratocaster signed by the members of Deftones. It's for charity! You got 14 hours.

The new issue of Metal Hammer has an article about the recording of the new Deftones album for anybody who's interested in picking up a copy.

The Deftones brought a fan (not Maynard) onstage to sing Passenger at a recent show.

I'd rather play bass on Triad for Justin on his birthday in England in front of the Queen.

Deftones concert was sick, they fucked up a bunch of times on the first two songs but they straightened it out and killed it on the last two. the crowd was HUNGRY at the end let me tell you. then Incubus came on and half the stadium walked out

My brother and his girlfriend just saw them Sunday and they said there were quite a few empty seats until Incubus came out.

Why you should give a shit what the queen thinks? Her only real accomplishment is being born.

Happens all the time at these type of split bills. I remember when Meshuggah and Lamb of God co-headlined here there was a similar walk out (and presumably walk-in as well).

The lineup of Incubus and Deftones looks ok on paper, both being late 90s nu-metal acts, but Deftones seemed to have aged much better, and probably draw a little more of an "educated" crowd these days. I would definitely be walking out before Incubus played.

they almost sold out Jones Beach which (obviously) if you don't know is not easy to do. one of the best things about Deftones shows is that girl to guy ratio is easily 3 to 1. and I'm not talking fatties either, hot girls come out for Chino and the boys. typically pale, dark frames, lots of tattoos and beautiful asses. kind of girls that read books and will also give you a rim job.
