Sounds like Tim Alexander has had another heart attack:
timalexander65I had a second heart attack the other day. I did not think this could happen after having a triple bypass almost exactly 2 years ago. I was overwhelmed with sadness, not because of the fact that I could die but that I would have to say goodbye to my family. It can happen at any moment, and remember IT WILL HAPPEN ONE DAY so tell the people in your life you love them. Enjoy the days you have with them, they are limited. We are all here for a short time.

Sounds like Dillinger Escape Plan will have something out in October as well.

I also heard the new Living Colour album could finally be out then as well, so October could be a great month for new music.

Sounds like the Cog reunion is a permanent thing, with the band planning to record a new album:
And then Flynn tells us what we’re dying to hear. “..so we’re going to try and release a new album soon..”

Dillenger calling it quits. This is going to be their last album. Shame but they have had a great run and put out a number of excellent albums. New album, Dissociation, is out on October 14th

New track, Limerent Death

Baroness have been annouced for Merideth festival in December. Nothing else on the line up overly excites me but very good chance for an early xmas present with some sideshows you'd have to think.

Probably the least interesting Meredith lineup in quite some time. Not a huge Baroness fan either.

As their vocalist recently commented, no one "quits" anymore. Not permanently. People in bands die and even then... it doesn't necessarily end.

This is good news - I liked the last album quite a bit, but missed some of the longer, proggier numbers of the first couple of albums.
