Matt Smith. That should be an easy one to find given the uncommon name!
Just legally chance your name to Hell Boy.

Sounds Tool are featured pretty heavily in the next edition of Kerrang:
Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Also, there seems to be some speculation that this image by Adi Granov is part of the poster for the San Bernadino show:
Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Sounds like that issue of Kerrang was pretty much just an elaborate clickbait, with the "new album" section with Adam lifted from a interview a couple of years ago.
Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Did anyone find the kerrang article ? If yes please post a link.
I know its a waste of time but what the hek, gotta indulge the habit.
We tool fans suffer the most.

there's speculation as well on the Primus poster for the San Bernardino show from Zombie Yeti. Looks like some kind of zombie guy or just a guy with a stupor look? with the word bastard across his forehead, and looks like they used gold ink for some shiny effect...

A couple of on-stage guitar and bass rig shots from the weekend:

The pedal boards haven't changed much (if at all) since these photos were taken, but they're not from this weekend, or this tour.hellboy wrote:A couple of on-stage guitar and bass rig shots from the weekend:

I'm seeing a few things that suggest they're from a few years ago.
Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Really grateful I got to see them this go around. They are timeless and yet their time is now. Their musicianship has never been better. Cheers dudes. “My God had needs like I did. We both wanted to divide you.”

He says they're really ready to work on the album when they get back from the tour and just "bang it out".
He estimates 90% done in terms of writing and selecting material and putting things together creatively as would relate to the writing process (as mentioned elsewhere in this thread).

- Yes. The louder the better. Stops me from thinking.
- You don't like to think? What do you like?
- Never thought about it.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
So if they're at 90% after 11 years, 10% of album equates to about 13 months of work or so. Estimated completion of final 10% is July 2018, release date April 2019. Only 2 more years to wait hoorah!

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Pretty good interview, confirms that Tool are at where most of us expect. 90% sounds about right, to me that suggests that they have some ideas from Maynard, and need to work that into the existing songs. Surely 6 months is long enough to get this done, and then into the studio early 2018. Time will tell...
I'm still not getting overly excited though until they actually confirm recording is happening though

Sheeeeeeiiiiit... at this point one shouldnt be overly excited until the new album is going through our speakers.
I like what Justin has to say but we've heard so much before. Add to that an APC tour and lyrics after, then rearranging. Then hopefully recording.
Summer 2018 isn't out of the question, just feels like we've been here before. :/

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
let's see if this holds true. they repeatedly stated (including MJK) that once they hit the studio, we'll be the first to know.
Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
The funny part is where the interviewer empathises with Justin over other bands having to do the same setlist over and over again.
