What I find troubling is the fact that Ange seems to be looking at the Asian Cup, and using the World Cup as a trial run. Indeed, most fans on the Facebook page seem to think that too. It's replete with comments like, "You've made it to the World Cup - you're already winners, boys!" and "Win or lose, we'll still support you!"
You can't be talking like that in an international tournament. We need hunger and drive, and Cahill and Taggart seem to be the only ones who have those two key elements.
I don't know what everyone's idiot favourite player Jedinak is thinking ("I'm going to score another own goal because I'm a fucking toothbrush - durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!") but I've yet to see that same passion from anyone else in the team.
We need wins against Chile and the Dutch, it's that simple. We fuck up Saturday (my time), we've lost it. A draw is not an option. We NEED that win.
