The chats around the Lateralus period weren't bad. I didn't fancy that one much. The 10,000 Days one was a waste of time as I recall with the bands complete disinterest in doing it blatant.

Blair has been posting about "arranging" for some time now. But no argument on the "home stretch" bit.....

Not in the same context, but anyway we agree on the important part.

I've said it before and I always get shit, but I'm right and you all are still wrong... that unreleased track is an early/alternate section of Jambi. It's the same exact riff just slower with a different swing to it.

Interesting Joey. I'll have to listen again with an ear towards that.
Would have been an excellent question for the Meet & Skeet. Especially given that he played the entire track in our faces live.

If you listen to Jambi, it's the "Shiiiiiiiiiine on, forever, benevolent son" riff. Slow that down and put a little different swing/accent to the second part of the riff, and you've got that little snippet.

With your notes, I can hear where you're coming from, but I would say it's a bit of a stretch to pull that from the extremely understated guitar padding shit on that track. And while the beginning notes sound right, the riff you mentioned doesn't resolve the same way it does in Jambi. At least not to my ear.

If it was that main riff I could see it, but that one you're talking about? Nah, not at all.

Yup. As long as it's you playing both riffs. In your underwear. Wait.... whut?

Ok what kind of underwear? Mostly a boxer-briefs guy so I will try to ensure package is well fluffed and all that, I don't want to distract from the riff with limp plumage.

I'll be very disappointed if said video doesn't include 20-30 minutes of unarticulated ranting about feminism and ethics in video game journalism.
