Sharing this from an EchoingTheSound post:

I personally don't see it, as tickets are supposedly going on sale in about 24 hours and there's nothing I can find in regards to the venue confirming this show.

I'd be pretty surprised if APC were just playing one show. At least a short tour seems likely I reckon.

TM is showing a November date in Pittsburgh. Guessing we'll see dates in the next day or two as tickets go on sale this Friday.

Damn that's a lot of shows! Maynard has been on tour pretty much non-stop since the release of Money Shot, crazy!

Zilch. If they were touring the album they would have announced it.

That is a lot of fucking shows and as good as the Nashville show was in May, I believe I have to pass on this tour. Until the bots lose their ass again and tickets on the resale market are 20 bucks lol.

Certainly a bigger tour that I expected. I can't see it being an album tour, and I don't see when they could have recorded it - for that matter we can now formally put a line through Tool recording this year.

Wait, i'm seeing some arenas that Tool usually play at. Will APC sell out these big arenas? Seems weird if they don't hype it up a bit, at least with a new single or something to promote it.

Wouldn't surprise me if they record one or both of the tracks they played on the last tour. I doubt we'll see a full album though.

I agree with the assessment of the venue sizes. Seems a bit too much too soon, demand seemed a little low for some of the show last tour, and I don't think they will be any more in demand this time around.

I'd be pretty surprised if any of the arenas sell out. That being said that's probably not their goal- they would probably like to get bodies into the floor and most of lower bowl.

I'm not in the business and not sure how these things are thought out, but they must think it's more profitable to get maybe 7,000 bodies into an arena rather than book larger clubs.

Just because a venue hold's 15,000-20,000 doesn't mean they'll try to sell that many tickets. At the Nashville show back in May, the arena had three levels and only sold tickets for the first and second.

The closest show to me is 2 hours away. Not sure how crazy I am about spending $70+ and making the drive for the same show I saw 6 months ago. It'd be nice to have a new single or two or an EP of new stuff to get us hype.

Yeah, like I said I'm not sure who figures stuff like this out. QOTSA, arguably a more popular band at this time, are doing mostly large clubs/theatres later this year for a new album.

Most likely the label. APC is signed with BMG which is a major label, whereas Queens of the Stone Age are with the much smaller indie label Matador.

How'd everyone do on tickets this morning? Got front row lower level side view seats to the Kentucky show on the first try. Never got that lucky before.

I think I'm skipping this round. May look for last minute Chicago seats, which is the Friday after Thanksgiving, if I'm up for it.
