There really are some dumbasses out there. Haven't people heard of the OFF button?

This is something that would go inside one's pocket or handbag. It would be preferable to turning it off, as the user might want to make a call at the drop of a hat, so to speak.hellboy wrote:There really are some dumbasses out there. Haven't people heard of the OFF button?
I guess it's more of a way to keep your phone more or less operational and functional, while not having to worry about being tracked.
Now that I've said that, I'd also like to say that it's FUCKING STUPID. Wouldn't the Airplane Mode do almost exactly the same thing? Am I missing something?
O love will you read the letters I will send to you.

Not that I would participate in this, but it does seem to fit a need:hellboy wrote:There really are some dumbasses out there. Haven't people heard of the OFF button?
- http://www.huffingtonpost.com/larry-bod ... 99521.html"Cell phones keep sending a signal several times a minute even though they are turned off. The only way to stop the GPS signal from a cell phone is to take out the battery, which is nearly impossible for the 75 million consumers who own an iPhone."
And there are numerous other citations. Turning your phone off doesn't stop it from being trackable. I'm not even sure this does. Not having a cell is probably the best bet if you are worried about this type of potential surveillance. For my part, if somebody is that interested in my boring existence, feel free.

Page Hamilton gets behind new Fryette Kickstarter project:
The Fryette Valvulator GP/DI is an all-tube low-power guitar amplifier, preamplifier, direct box, and all-around low-volume-playing solution. It is specifically designed to work in situations where you can't or don’t need to play loud, such as late-night playing and recording, headphone practicing, and recording straight into the board live. It is the first all-tube guitar amplifier designed to do that without any additional equipment, and a minimum of trouble.

Base, I got really excited about this because I thought maybe it was a kickstarter for a new graphic novel or comic series. Sad it's not, but still pretty awesome!

Yeah, I'd be more inclined to back that. Not so interested in a doco about him, as interesting as he might beWhowatchesthewampas wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 9:29 am Base, I got really excited about this because I thought maybe it was a kickstarter for a new graphic novel or comic series.
