I had a feeling not many here had heard The Pineapple Thief. I got turned on to them via someone at a Porcupine Tree show's rec. I can't say I'm into everything they've put out, but definitely worth checking out to see what you think.

They've got a decent discography, about a dozen albums/EPs since 1999. Last release was 2014's Magnolia:



They are on my bucket list to see live, but as they don't tour the US much, not likely I'll get a chance. Looks like the leader has a solo album coming out, which may be the kiss of death for the band...

"Last week, Massive Attack launched an iPhone app called Fantom which contained snippets of four songs. They've now released Ritual Spirit, an EP containing all four tracks, on Virgin/EMI. It features collaborations with Tricky, Young Fathers, Roots Manuva, and Azekel, with production by the band's own 3D. Below, watch the Hiro Murai-directed video for Tricky collab "Take It There," which stars a beleaguered John Hawkes stalking through the city at night.
A second EP, written and co-produced by Daddy G, is coming in Spring, with an album to follow later this year."

It's alright. I'm hoping it will work better in the context of the album, but I don't really expect much from PJH these days. She's just doing her own thing and I respect that.
