I'd say he's primarily known for a blockbuster, but maybe that's just me.

I think both Thor & Jojo Rabbit are fine, and maybe he'll do fine with Star Wars. I just don't think comedic directors are what the series needs, and I find it hard to get excited about this announcement.
Have you seen Boy & What we do in the shadows? They were his breakout kiwi films. They're comedy but very unblockbuster like so that's more what i was referring too.

And yeah totally get it. It could be terrible. I just love the dude and think (hope) he can do a great job.

I haven't seen them, and I know what you were referring to. I'd refute that he is "known for primarily making" for those movies though.

Let's wait and see. I'm much more excited for more Mandalorian, and the series by the Game of Thrones team (assuming that's still a thing).

Well it had Adam Driver who is possibly the best actor in the whole saga.

They tried fanservice and failed at several points.

I guess, but I really just don't think about Star Wars that hard. For me the problem with the sequel trilogy is more the missed opportunities, more than how far fetched or stupid the stories may seem.

I feel like they had some great effects and cinematography, and pretty decent cast, and by and large I thought the characters were interesting. Let down mostly by the lack of a cohesive plot, and some really mixed fan service (Chewie & Yoda good, Lando & Leia bad)

Tracking at a solid 7/10 so far this season. I assume the only meaningful plot points will occur in the last 2 episodes

I dig the tie-ins from Clone Wars and Rebels, in addition to the main movies. I really like the time this takes place in and the Imperial remnant aspect of it

Cool season finale. Didn't like how Boba Fett wore his armour over a robe in the series though - looked dicky

Watched season 2 this weekend. Cool. A lot better then the first season. Some fanservice, but hey, it is Star Wars.

Well and with spoilers :
The moment that X-Wing arrived I felt the force tremble. I reckon that because of that Darth Vader scene in Rogue One they wanted to give Luke also a similar bad-ass scene.

@Hellboy, to which episode did you refer to earlier?
