Visually TLJ is the best out of them all. Closely followed by Rogue One.


But I have stumbled into a problem of ranking Star Wars these days. The rewatch session wasn't kind on the original trilogy for various parts. Befors ESB was easily the best one. Now I am not so sure. Even ANH made a better impression. And ROTS, TFA, R1, TLJ as well.

TROS needs more time.

why you guys so rough on Calfium ? i havent been around nearly as long but he isnt a jerk to everyone. maybe thats why hes mad at ya's sometimes its x mas for f sakes! come on, ha!

in short (if i can do that? ha) the first half or so has a great pace, lots of character interactions, finally eh? once Jannah entered the scene it felt like that didnt need to be there. HB already said that but i totally felt that too. it was like ''ooh lets add more people now'' and it showed :/

the wayfinder lining up with the deathstar seems kind of ghey. wouldnt that thing shift in the water over time? its a movie, i know but sometimes obvious things pop up that maybe dont make sense. normally things like that dont bother me cause its a movie but still.

KK said in her interview during the premiere that the Skywalkers may end up somewhere down the line, it sounded more like in small ways. Its the end of the older people being around is what they are really trying to say i think :/ i get it but that still sucks.

i hated the idea of the Emperor being back months ago but i got over that and its a huge anchor to fill in this trilogy which works without seeming tacky imo. so not bad considering.

i liked it. def not perfect but better then i expected for a patch job. on first viewing it also made me think JJ was just practicing for TFA. TROS has a lot going on and jumps around a little too often but more viewings will smooth that out. Test of time will prove more.

I didn't mind jannah entering the movie. Kinda made sense to me anyway. Po is flying with chewie & lando. Reys off doing her own thing. I'm guessing they felt they needed to raise the stakes to send a character off with finn to the battle and well let's face it. Rose sucked. I'm glad she was cast aside.

The emperor makes sense too. He was overseeing the previous trilogies, stands to reason it would come full circle back to him when viewing it as a 9 episode piece.

Who's Jannah?

I saw it yesterday and thought that it was a pretty good film. I didn't have high hopes after TLJ but am glad it wasn't terrible. There are lots of issues with it still but I am happy enough and am keen to go and see it again.

My biggest concern with the whole trilogy is the apparent lack of overall planning for all three films. I hope that Dave Filoni is more involved in any future films.

@pimpie. 100% agree. I wish they'd given all 3 to JJ. Would have been a much more cohesive watch. Is pretty clear JJ didn't agree with ryan johnsons take.

app part of the script that got taken out was Finn and her realize they are brother and sister. they sort of hint that could be possible but im glad that didnt go that way too much. thats too convenient.

Just watched it a second time. Enjoyed it even more. Fuck the haters, you want deep complex story telling, go elsewhere. Its star wars , not schindlers list.

I really think people's nostalgia of the original trilogy makes them think they are these perfect pieces of film , which they are anything but.
