You obviously never saw There Will Be Blood? Or The Master? Or know absolutely nothing regarding the art of cinema.

I haven't seen The Master yet, but There Will Be Blood is probably in my top 10 films.

There will be blood was a joke of a film, I've said it before and I'll say it again.

Daniel Day Lewis hamming it up for over 2 hours while every one else is subtle, it's a modern day retelling of a Bugs Bunny cartoon.

The best movie to come out that year by a long shot was tAoJJbtCRF.

Hmm, should have watched that long ago, hear good stories about the acting.

For me 2007 was about these movies:

Transformers

Bourne Ultimatum, The
I Am Legend
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
Planet Terror
Stardust

For example? I see car chases, explosions, post-apocalyptic leather wearing wierdos and the desert. What exactly have they removed? Mel Gibson?

No, a background story. And a foreground story.

Then again, it was only a trailer.

Keep hope alive?

Jeez, the original three had token stories at best.

George Miller reboots 'Mad Max' with '105-minute chase scene'
http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/07/ ... ND20140726
Miller also talked about the relationship of the new film to the first three and recasting the role that launched Mel Gibson's career
"Of course it's based on the same character that they'll play, the lone warrior in the wasteland disengaged from the rest of the world," he said, according to The Verge. "But naturally Tom brings his Tom Hardy-ness to it, and the story is different to some degree. The character is different to some degree."

Yeah, I am definitely going to check the MM reboot out, it looks well done.

One thing that always strikes me about post-apocalyptic scenarios in stories like this... there's clearly no manufacturing of vehicles, weapons, spare parts, ammo etc... so it follows that there's a limited supply, right? Why are they all so fucking cavalier about blowing shit tons of rounds/explosions and trashing vehicles? You can only cannibalize a fallen society's resources for so long until they are exhausted... I know it wouldn't make for great action sequences, but it's never addressed and it bugs me. Anybody else?

Post-apocalypse movies, in general, are pretty unrealistic. So no I've never felt the need to nitpick shit like that.

Unless a movie is claiming top be based on a real story, this statement is pretty accurate.

But the Mad Max movies are a pretty accurate account of driving from Sydney to Broken Hill, so Kittaan has a point.
