It's because they're presenting the package as much as an art piece, as it is a record.

I hope they release a "regular" version for some easier listening

It is. Personally I don't care about this kind of merchandise anymore, same for posters, shirts and other stuff.
Sometimes some cool things pop up, but most of this stuff is just uselesse and cheesy.

All the track lists suggest this is the case. There's no reason it couldn't be on the discs, so I have expect in true Tool form it's just a misprint or something

I think there have been a few mentions on Reddit here and there - no significant concerns though it does jump around a bit when you play the etched side

Showing as "Shipped" in the JB Hifi dashboard for me. Haven't received any tracking details though. Maybe it'll arrive tomorrow, but I suspect more like next week at this stage

Just started with "Invincible".
Jeez, the drums sound HUGE with my Ortofon Bronze

Distortion/clipping is still very noticeable, so it's not just a problem of the CD.

people think the distortion and clipping is bad on this still eh ? i think i heard a bit here and there for a quick second or two but the mastering on FI is ten times better then most stuff made these days. most newer things are still too loud, to my ears anyway. FI doesnt hurt my ears with headphones cranked yet still sounds full and nice on speakers but not compressed and weird either.
