I'm about 30 minutes into it. Â So far, here's my take:
It has a lot of elements I like musically, not crazy about the vocals but they're not awful. Â I'm just not connecting much. Â I don't see repeated listening. Â I'll update after I get through the whole album.
I'm exactly the same. Up to about the thirty minute mark, and it's just not doing it for me. There's some parts that have made me nod my head, but as a whole, it's just not working.
Which is fucking weird, because every single element of it is good on paper. The vocals are fine, the fuzz is great, rhythm fine. A few nice little melodies here and there.
I don't know. I don't HATE it, but I doubt I'll listen to it again.

What's the name of the band? Â
Gravity X or Truckfighters?
Please be more specific.
Where are they from?
What genre is this for the purposes of our little experiment here?
When was this released?
Is there any other pertinent information we should be aware of as listeners which might enhance our listening of this recording?
.
.
.
.
first song: Â nice hook. Â decent vocals. Â we're gonna have to cut down on that instrumently-thing to make it radio friendly...ok...now we've gotten to the part where he screams and I've noticed he sounds like whathisname from the Cult....
second song...a little slow to start...typical second song....

for the ignorant who'd not read hellboy's post in the initial thread (new thread/album/artist):
ALBUM OF THE WEEK - GRAVITY X - TRUCKFIGHTERS
also, as it's evident you've not read any of the other posts, keeping only your own ego and opinion as the central theme, they are 'stoner' rock, also consedered fuzz, from Sweden, released 2006... smoke a bowl or two, hop in the car and drive anywhere... INSTANTLY ENHANCED MOTHER FUCKER!

I would listen to this album and maybe even comment on it but I'm guessing from how my 2 posts were ignored in the other thread that you don't want me in this group.... that or my invisible post cloaking device finally is operational! Next on the list... the thread Deathray!

Just got done with it, I really dug it. Made feel like I was driving through the desert at night, even though I've never done that. Yea I know the first song is named "Desert Cruiser" but that's not why I got that feeling. I probably heard something similar to this in a movie with the same situation.
The music is better than the Danzigish/dude from the Cult sounding singer, but he doesn't over reach himself. At first listen I'd say Altered State is my favorite song on it.
I could definitely see myself playing this every once in a while, good start to this. Nice one, Pete.
Also, are we rating the albums? I'll give it a strong 7(heh)/10

I like it so far. Reminds me of others like Kyuss, Elder and Colour Haze. There are some things that I would have done differently with the guitar to make it a little more interesting, but overall it's good and I'll probably add it to my library.
