"FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS".

I've been trying to go back and read all the essential stuff that I've missed while growing up. I did "THE GLASS BEAD GAME" the other week, and "MOBY DICK" before that. Going to hit Bukowski after Hemingway.

I'm afraid that if I read "FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS" while listening to RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, my balls will explode from the awesomeness. My balls feel pretty big already, reading this thing.
O love will you read the letters I will send to you.

The Gunslinger. Picked it up awhile back and then fell out of reading books all together. Just recently jumped back in again and am loving where the story is going.

I tried reading that a few months back, but I really wasn't reading it.  I haven't read anything in awhile.

Also the last few issues of "HELLBLAZER". I'm kind of glad it has ended, because from issue 260 onwards, it just straight-up sucks.

Moby Dick is probably more essential, though you could just listen to Leviathan by Mastodon instead.

I adore Catcher In The Rye, I really need to read it again.  Crow would probably give you better advice.

I'm pretty biased.

I obviously know the names of both books really well but have no idea what they're about etc. You're the 2nd person to tell me they adore Catcher though so am leaning that way me thinks.. Cheers.

Mates misses was just telling me the other week that those books are tits!

Just finished a Tool autobiography the other night. Customer at work gave it to me after I told him I was going Soundwave. Wasn't a bad read, had plenty of stuff I hadn't read before..

Sorry, I can't offer any advice with regard to "CATCHER IN THE RYE". I think it is easily the most over-hyped piece of shit in literary existence. I struggled to get through it, and was intensely relieved when I finished it and left it on a bus seat in Korea. Utter piece of shit.

If you want a surprisingly funny read, and learn every single thing there is to learn about whales, go to "MOBY DICK". Stick with it, because it can get a bit dense at times. Very rewarding, though.

I will bet you my very existence that you didn't.

Hellboi: I was astounded at how much I loved the first "Bourne" book. I couldn't put it down. It's totally not my genre, but it definitely sunk its teeth into me.

The first one was good, but it suffered from a problem that a lot of those thrillers have where they just introduce a boardroom full of people at one time, with all their titles and shit.  I hate that.

Jesus fucking Christ.

OK, who wrote them? Adam and Danny? I would've heard if the 'Nard had written one. Justin doesn't look like he could write a letter, let alone a book.

Hellboy probably has access to secret Tool autobiographies that us lesser mortals couldn't so much as glance at without, I don't know, having our skin peel off in strips than wrap back around our body, mummifying us in our own flesh.

Don't know if you're joking or not, Hellboy. But in case you aren't, ah you must be joking.

People know the difference between biography and autobiography, right?

Yea you're joking.

Currently reading Frankenstein for school, and I've been reading through Fight Club again in my free time. In German we are reading a coming-of-age story called Krabat, which is about an orphan who becomes a student of black magic.

Do you know how the story came about in the first place?

I wish I was part of an awesome circle of talented wankers.

EDIT: That came out wrong. I love "FRANKENSTEIN". But still, I would have loved to have been a part of that circle.

Ah sorry, semantics is the key here.  There are several biographies out there, but no autobiographies.
