Random Tool Social Media thread
Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
If you look really close (not that i did or anything because im married) you can see the chic in the blanket shot is wearing Tool panties with the fish logo on them.
But it could be my mind playing games with me. I mean, Fish logo on ladies panties. Thats great

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Is it really a smart idea though? To sell a blanket made out of recycled shirts right now? That shirt came out in 2010, if I remember correctly. I believe I saw those shirts for the first time during that tour.
Here is what I think, it's a dumb fucking idea. Sure, retards will buy it. The pillow was successful, so why not shove these blankets down their throats? The timing and tact of this being posted on toolband, right after the studio debacle, is pretty hilarious. The last 4 years of Tool's timeline is a joke. 544 tees sold for 10K profit? A little too ironic for my taste. Fans are noticing their bullshit. It's not just the diehards that see through all this nonsense either. Anyways, economically Tool definitely makes a huge profit by selling those shirts as blankets... I'm not giving them credit for that though. Sorry.

Dude they are losing money on those shirkets(shirt blanket), 8 t-shirts from Tool would normally run you like $200-$300 but you are getting them AND a fleece all sewn together for like $150! Deal of the century... I'm surprised they aren't selling for $400 honestly, and I'm surprised they werent those sleeved blankets too.Bill Hilly wrote:Is it really a smart idea though? It should be noted that I have an official Tool snuggie, and it cost me nowhere near $150

They (tool) should sell copies of their demos wrapped in wrapping paper towels from Danny's kitchen.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
I don't get how some of the same people who ardently defended the Opiate reissue have a problem with these blankets.
They're both bullshit. But neither is worth being bothered over. At all. Don't like it? Don't buy it.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
That blanket looks like something I'd find at a flea market. The girl makes it a little less fugly. The last thing I bought from Tool was a Vegas poster. I probably would have passed on even that if it was a rehashed fish with shitty font. I don't find much of what they put out these days worth the price. Low quality swap meet shit.

I'm all for merch for getting creative, but a $150 blanket? That's a big stretch in my opinion.budsyralli wrote:they should make TOOL tissue papers for all you whiny fucking fans........or for all you tool fanatics to blow your load in..

Calling it creative is a bit of a stretch too.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Better items Merch could come up with:
- New t-shirt designs
- Miniatures from videos
- Vinyl reissues
- Tool snuggies
- Tool themed sneakers (I could do with a new pair of shoes)
- Tool themed babywear (enough members seem to have little ones these days, so why not!)
- "Maynard Blue" body paint
- False mohawks
Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Maybe they could offer Problem 8 as a "1 only digital download" for $100,000.
There is at least one fan out there bound to be dumb enough to buy it and put it up on the internet for all to hear.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
guitar picks, signature strings, books, barbacue, coctails or any kind of recipies
anything but not old, seen-already-by-tenthousand-fuckin time artblankets with artpillows
i like alex and all, but these tool t-shirt designs and stuff are so boring and lame
too obvious and cheesy for my taste
how in the fuck can someone be so lazy, or careless or i dont know whats the right word, that he can not come up with a single fucking imagery on his own in 9 years?
if you cant do this, then throw in an old and cool image like this:

but these fucking alex grey pictures....jeesus its not even tool-made artwork
and i bet its even made of cheap plastic cotton stuff
unbelievable
seriously there is no law suit in the fucking world that can explain something so lame and cheap
