A song dedication for Junior from his best friend. Bobby bottleservice
Thanks Busty! You're so sweet!
Haha anytime brotha. Cheers for warming tool up for us Aussies. Getting close now!
Yeah Busty! All four members are firing on all cylinders. These guys are sounding almost perfect. Justin is playing like a metronome (probably because Danny is human metronome.) You Aussies are going to see an incredible fucking show!
Haha 2 and a bit minutes of thanks and not a single recognition towards their fans. Classic tool, gotta love em.

Yeah BUT we didn't help them or directly inspire them to write/create the song 7empest. Thanking your family, Joe Barresi and acknowledging drummers like Jon Bonham and Neil Peart makes sense if Danny's talking. He did thank people for voting and Justin did encourage others to just keep making awesome music.
I actually thought it was great to see them back on that stage 18 years later after accepting the award for Schism ("I'd like to thank my mom for doing my dad")
EDIT: the best part of that 2nd clip is Justin's "See you in another 12 years..." line right at the end!! Love it.

So, they win best heavy metal performance for a song they have yet to perform live?

Stoked they managed to take out the award, glad the industry still recognises 15 minute prog brilliance! Congratulations to all involved. Now I guess they have to include it in the live shows, eh?

Danny said 12 minutes in his thank you speech; not even the drummer for the song itself knows how long that track is...
All good though. So TOOL have now won Best Metal Performance three times (Aenema 1998, Schism 2002 and 7empest 2020) and trail only Metallica in this category (6 wins: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grammy_Aw ... erformance)
Two-time award winners include Nine Inch Nails, Slayer and Ozzy Osbourne. My favourite moment today though was Justin in the thank you cam saying "See you again in 12 years..."
I hope so!

Crazy how Taylor Swift skipped the awards show because shes still salty about Tool knocking her off her throne.

What's wrong with that comment?
Nothing in my opinion.

I'm guessing the presence over the grammys comment ?
I can't see Maynard ever caring too much about the grammys. Are you ok Bob?

So he'd rather be at home and work on his farm that go to the Grammy's? I'm in complete agreeance with him.
