Excellent interview:
Some good insight into the recording of No Quarter, and the relationships within the band prior to recording Lateralus

Tool has to be doing a handful of headlining shows along with the two festival appearances, right? Or is this like 2018? Really wish they'd announce something soon either way before I buy a Sonic Temple ticket.

That was fantastic, thanks for the link.
As a fan of his albums I enjoyed the mention of Diorama & The End of All Things to Come, will have to check out Flaw and those other bands, Thhe Peter Garbeials and Kings Crimsion.

The skull is cool and all, but an extra $500 for a signed box?

Agreed Norm. That’s a lot of money just to get some Head.

Signing the skull would be weird, and I'm not sure it'd work on the base (unless it's on the bottom), so I'm not surprised it's the box. I kinda get why people are upset, but tbh I didn't expect much different.
Also, I think paying $500 for signatures is pretty fucking stupid.

Agreed, I imagine there would have been complaints had they signed the skull or the base as well.
The artwork on the box was pretty cool though, but now it's got signatures all over it.
Anyhow, this all reminded me that they were selling those signed Fear Inoculum vinyl box sets on tour for $800. An even more egregious fleecing.

I dunno about that, they seem like bargain in comparison, and will probably be worth a tonne more if you fancy selling it in the future too

Good point.
Will be interesting to see what other new collectibles the band may have lined up...hopefully some new vinyl releases.
