Certainly happy for Adam but doesn't bode well for the completion of a new album.  *shrug* As Doors said the other day, way too much good music out there at the moment to worry about Tool.  I enjoy ranting and ruffling feathers but honestly Tool is way off my radar musically.  Lateralus and Aenima are two of the best rock albums of all time.  Nice run those guys had.  Many years of listening enjoyment.

 

I can definitely see this affecting any touring next year but I don't see why it would affect them until then.

 

Or am I missing something?  It's not like Adam's going to be like, "Sorry guys Korrin got a craving for anchovy ice cream can't come to the loft for the next couple of weeks".

 

My point is this, my brother just recently had a kid.  And he didn't just all of a sudden stop working when his lady got pregnant.

Adam is much better at videos and sculpture than he is at drawing.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that would be the first live video Adam's ever put out?... all 3 frames of it. Between that, Maynard's clips in AU, DC drum cam and Justin's bass tech video; we're almost there. 

Awesome rehearsal(?) shots on Adam's instagram feed last night. Timestamp on the Justin video pic says 22:41 on July 9th, 2013.
