The Pulse of Radio recently spoke to members of Alice In Chains and Tool regarding their Halloween memories.
Alice In Chains’ Sean Kinney: “I probably spent all my tiny boy years dressed as Peter Criss from Kiss — ’bout every year until, what is it, last year,” he said. “I mean, that was pretty much my thing. I’d looked forward to that. My sister’d paint me up in the cat makeup and I’d paint my hair and I’d go out there and bring my drum sticks and I loved it, you know. That was my moment, you know. I’d still do it.”
Tool’s Danny Carey: “I think it was probably ’87 or maybe ’88, and I was playing a Halloween show with Green Jello, the Pygmy Love Circus and Haunted Garage, the three kind of big psycho bands of L.A. at that time,” he said. “That was a pretty memorable night. That was kind of when I had first moved to L.A. too, I guess, so it was one of my first really heavy L.A. experiences, seeing all the weirdos coming out of the woodwork.”
