Palms have announced that they will debut a new track from their highly-anticipated self-titled debut album online on Tuesday, April 30th. In addition to the song, the outfit will be releasing some tour dates they have planned for July on the same date.
Palms feature Deftones, etc. frontman Chino Moreno and ex-Isis members Jeff Caxide, Aaron Harris and Bryant Clifford Meyer. The group have made plans to release their full-length debut on June 25th through Ipecac Recordings.
I like! Really good shit, and can't wait for the full thing.

Tropics was an excellent teaser. this is shaping up pretty much where Isis left off, very Wavering Radiant, no?

I love the instrumentation, but I just don't think chino's voice fits. Â I'm definitely gonna buy the album though. Â I hope to be proved wrong.

I like it a lot, but the vocals are too similar to that of Koi No Yokan-- which is my least favorite Deftones album (next to SNW). I hope some tracks have older sounding Chino vocals or at least Diamond Eyes style.Â
received word from the band that they currently have no immediate plans to expand the tour to the East Coast, which sucks. but they have not ruled it out. I guess the Deftones are super busy but after the LP drops they will re-examine.
